Given that TSB now has a £50 switch offer for the Classic and Classic Plus accounts it doesn't seem that there'll be closing them that soon.

TSB is certainly trying to gain as many new account openings as possible with offers through mse, Quidco, and their own refer a friend offer.

Bit like when Yorkshire Bank were doing their £150 per new account offer in 2015 immediately before the bank, and its sister bank Clydesdale, were sold off. Fatten it up, sell it off then all bets are off for what happens going forward. The new 'business plan' may just be a smoke screen to try and implement if no buyer is found.

Speculation on my part but lets see what happens!

Various hoops for £6 per month between two people?
That's £72 a year. Pays for a nice Christmas dinner for 2. Or a new handbag for 1, whatever floats your boat.
