If TSB get rid of the interest, theres zero reason for me to keep it as I dont really use it.0
-
If they remove interest then might keep it/not use it to switch to another reward/interest account but only Nationwide FlexDirect has 5% but had that already before0

Well yes thats stands to reason. When I say I have no reason to keep, I mean the cash will be withdrawn & account laying dormant until a switch offer comes along0 -
There's more detail on the proposed accounts on the slides in here:

tl;dr - they're not very good.
Amusingly they've used the 'isn't taken away after a year' line to depict the current Classic Plus account (the one they're taking away [after a year])...
Also note they have a new look debit card with the Visa Debit logo, so I presume they've abandoned any aspiration of moving to Mastercard Debit.0 -
Looks like you get
Free Bank Account
2 paid bank accounts
New Debit card etc
will see what TSB Brings0 -
I would have thought that TSB would have given fee free ATM withdrawals at Sabadell ATMs in Spain bit like what Santander do..0

Can I have 2 TSB classical account and enjoy 3% on £1,500 for both account?
So total will be 35 on £3,0000 -

You can have one sole and one joint, but not 2 sole accounts. (unless they've changed the rules recently)
We have 3 between us, one of which is joint, which we shall keep as a "spare" joint account, even if the rate drops. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

Alan, as Sea Shell says, you can't have two Classic Plus (note the 'Plus' - the TSB Classic and the Classic Plus Accounts are not the same) accounts yourself, only one personal and one joint. When they launched, some years ago, you could have 2 personal ones and some of us still have those 2, but it's been only one personal one for some time now.
And, as this thread points out, TSB's intention seems to be withdraw the interest-paying accounts anyway soon (whenever soon might be) so there's probably no significant gain opening new ones now, even if you could.0 -
Is this same with Halifax Reward current account?
i guess, so, can open 3 between us.0
