Hi
To those people who overpay on their mortgage, do you:
Overpay by the same amount each month? or Overpay as an when you can afford to? or a combination?
How do you OP?
Any other means of paying off your Mortgage?
Thank you in advance

Both - most of mine is a regular amount each month, which I top up as and when I can (either spare cash, or other savings maturing). I've kept the regular OP running so long that it just feels like part of the mortgage, but I could have always stopped it if money was tight. How do you OP?Any other means of paying off your Mortgage?
We only make mortgage overpayments after making full use of pension allowances, so in theory we could pay off with the TFLS or something like that. That's years away though, and in practice we have (over)paid the whole thing off in seven years.0 -
Happy New Year all.
