National Hunter Report Received - Incorrect bank details

No, it wasn't listed.
Looks like NH only show you your last check. As mine was for opening an isa with a new bank account number and sort code, looks like thats the reason it was reported, rather than my current older bank account.
Would I be correct in saying that anyone?
An SAR, now known as a DSAR to any organisation should ordinarily disclose ALL the personal information that organisation holds on you, subject to any limits you may impose on such a request (and perhaps any data that the organisation may have good cause not to disclose as may be permitted by the appropriate legislation)
I would seriously consider the value of any data Hunter may hold on you for fraud prevention purposes, if it were the case it was simply overwritten when you apply for a new, similar type product. (despite continuing to hold the original)
Maybe you should enquire as to why they don't hold other financial details on you, such as your bank account. It may be argued that a bank account is not a credit application (unless it has an overdraft facility), so they don't have such details.
But then a HTB ISA is not a credit application either, and you say they have that detail. And they have both been sourced from the same financial institution.0 -
Thanks. I have emailed them to ask why my main bank account isn't listed.
I will respond when I get a response.0 -
Santander advised that NH keep records for 6 months. Reason there is only one application showing is because there obviously is no information greater than 6 months.
They send everything to NH to check fraud. As I applied for an ISA which has its own unique acc. Number and sort code it is correct only this will show on the report.
Looks like its all ok.0 -

Well if what Santander have informed you about Hunter is correct, then it sounds like they will be pretty useless at uncovering any fraud, unless it is being carried out on a frequent basis e.g. within the last 6 months.
According to Hunter themselves, they indicate:Depending on the status of your application, the data will be kept up to 6 months, and with a maximum retention period of 6 years.0 -
Yeah, if there is inconsistencies in any information you provide they retain the data for up to 3 years, and if fraud is suspected 6 years.
If everything comes back clear they keep it for 6 months.0 -

Any applications marked 'clear' are held for 6 months.
Any applications marked 'inconsistent' are held for 3 years.
Any applications marked 'applicant refer' are held for 6 years.0 -
how comprehensive is the NH SAR? Does it combine things you would find in the other 3 CRA's. or is there other data as well?0
-
No. It's just what they hold. You need your CRA files for the account details.0

Unless I am misunderstanding this, six months seems a very short time to be keeping information if the purpose is to check for inconsistencies.
In such a case I could make an application for credit, wait seven months then make a new application and fill the application form with inconsistent information and it would never be discovered?0 -

The inconsistency will in your current application as well. The flag held by NH is simply to speed the process up and eradicate a waste of effort.0
