Having a cuppa and a snuggle with the dog while watching a Christmas movie.

Have hoovered all around upstairs - bedroom 1 & 2, bathroom, toilet and stairs.
Cleaned the taps in the bathroom and swished around in the bathroom.
2 loads of washing - and am so pleased the washing machine didnt leak after I plumbed it in yesterday. (it was delivered yesterday!!)
Typed up Christmas card list for swap.

Well I think that's enough for the moment. My tea is getting cold..

    Declutter Challenge 2026
  • Good afternoon :D

We have been to the local town for Christmas shopping - nothing was bought, but we did sit in the local spoons and talk about it :rotfl::rotfl: I did get some more wool though :)

All pots washed up from yesterday, DW emptied, WM & TD have been on - I didn't do any of this, DH did!! :rotfl::T

I am going to declutter some stuff off the telly box and do some online Christmas shopping, now that I have some ideas. I may wrap up the few bits that I have got already, so that I know where I am, and maybe write out some cards.

Have a good day everyone :)

    Kitchen hoovered.
    Door mats hoovered and beaten
    Playroom door glass cleaned
    Cat flap cleaned

Phone calls dealt with, emails done, don't feel quite so snowed under now as tennant who can't pay is leaving at the end of the month and I should get all monies owed or at least most of it.

Some stuff gone off the stairs, will continue taking something each time I go up but just discovered one of the cats has peed on stuff on the stairs (fortunately dirty OH socks) so need to clean that up.

    Then cup of tea

  • Hi all

Well, I thought this week was going to be better. Woken up at 3.30am by DS1 saying he was in a lot of pain. Phone call to 111, advised to go straight to hospital. He was seen in A&E within 45 minutes but it turned out there were no beds so they couldn't admit him and couldn't treat him.

Some people had been waiting in A&E for 10 hours and there were ambulances queuing outside. After 3 hours of DS sleeping on a chair in a waiting room the doctor told us that the blood test showed nothing of concern, there were still no beds, and DS was probably better off at home.

So here we are, back home, DS tucked into bed with painkillers. I feel like I have aged 10 years in the last few weeks. Going to do a bit of work because I cant settle and it will give me something to think about.

    Afternoon all

Hugs YL such a worrying time for you, sending GWS vibes.

I did the dailies at lunch time, shuffled laundry around and ate my lunch. I have one more meeting this afternoon after this next cuppa, then I’m done for the day. I am going to prep supper, DH will have his when he gets in then I am going out for a few hours.

Have a nice evening all x
  • All of downstairs now hoovered.
    Living area tidied
    Stairs cleared.
Card table cleaned and polished, just need to find a solution for the ripped top, but thinking of painting it with blackboard paint or might pin vinyl on it.
OH picking up food essentials on his way home
    TD 3
    WM 4
Left over washing in washing basket so bathroom not too bad

Hugs YL, and anyone else having a hard of it. Off to make a cuppa and chill

    Afternoon all....I'm here, just!

Had a busy day so far, but the kitchen looks good, but I've run out of energy to mop the floor. Might do it later after dinner.

YL - I'm so sorry to hear about what you and DS are going through - sounds horrifying.

DH has just arrived home with yellow sticker bargains worth £56 at full price, for just under 20 quid! Prawns, trout, steak, bacon and cod. Quite a haul...I'll send him again :rotfl: Have popped it all in the freezer as we have sausage and mash for tea tonight with HM onion gravy and veggies. I'm trying to meal plan a week or so in advance as our takeaway consumption and junk food intake was creeping up slowly but surely. Just hoping I don't have any "pot-luck" stuff in the freezer that I forgot to label. Curry sauce on peaches is not a great thing...

Hello all. Hugs for anyone who needs them esp YL and Ionafan.

Quite pleased with what I managed to achieve today. Living room looking respectable, even managed to clear some hotspots. Wrote up minutes. Had a long dog walk. House hoovered and swept through. Met up with friends, ran an errand and did some shopping. Dailies are done.
Spend less now, work less later.
