Hi all.  Hope everyone is keeping well in these very uncertain times.
As i’d passed the £200 mark, I did my usual and banked them.  Was aiming to put that money to my EF but not done that yet as having to use my debit card more now as shops prefer cards to cash at the moment.  Hubby is doing well getting some coins for me and I bought 2 loaves of bread for a friend and they paid me with a £2 coin.  Will update my total in a bit

Four  coins potted last night but as with others, suspect this will be harder over coming weeks as more and more outlets prefer to switch to card payments where possible.

Just for interest sake - one of my coins last night  was  one to mark the 300th anniversary of the union between the kingdoms of England and  Scotland. Says mintage rating is common but I had never seen that one before

I don't think I have that one StokieBecks.  Yesterday, hubby swapped a £2 coin with me and it was a Trinity House one and that's the first one I have of that design.  I really must empty the jar out and make a list of exactly what I have got.  I seem to remember that I had a lot of Brunel ones.

Hubby went and got his prescription and some food. Couldn't get all on the list but on the up side he came home with a plain £2 coin.
It will be at least a week before he will be going shopping again. So really pleased that he got one today.
    Best wishes.

Morning everyone. Hope all are keeping well.  With the preferred choice to use contactless payments, £2 coins, even any coins, are a bit of a rarity now.  However, 6 little gems are now residing in my lovely pot.

i did take £200 out at the beginning of the month and banked them.  That £200 has been added to my EF (premium bonds) to see if they will generate further savings 😀

I haven't posted for a while as cash hasn't been flowing. It's getting harder to collect due to the circumstances but would like to report my pot has increased by 7 coins in the past fortnight or so! Another bonus to this situation is the saving of money in general. By the time it's over I should have enough saved to continue with the home improvements!  :)
