No chance of public transport for those miles and then asking them for reimbursement of extra costs involved? I'm talking taxi, by the way....It's already second hand, so are you suggesting they take they tyre back on the bus?
With all due respect, the clue was in the post you quoted0 -
There really is nothing they can't fork up.0

What was the outcome, when you called them0

Tread carefully. You dont want to inflate the situation.1 -
Thank you everybody for your advice (especially the one suggesting to burn my car ahahah)
I rang them the day after and they told me to pop in on Saturday. They didn't mention about avoiding to drive the car, but I used the bus just in case.
The manager was really polite, my tyre was changed with the right one and they even apologised.
So I would like to give them a :T
The local Kwik Fit centre is the one in Stockport (A6).

Actually it might do, if it has obviously been there a long time and has caused damage to the tyre resulting in an accident. You are supposed to keep your car in good order, and checking for visible stones in the tread and tyre damage would be part of that.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Im not sure how this makes a difference to OPs situation, for three reasons
1) Seeing as they have driven it home its already second hand
2) Its not OPs problem, they paid for a certain tyre so Kwik Fit need to fix the problem
3) Kwik Fit will probably just chuck it on another customers car, I doubt many customers go around and inspect all 4 tyres before driving away.
Obviously OP cannot drive on it for several months and then try and get it swapped for a new one, but a the next couple of days should be fine.0
