Go for it...... simple, to the point, factual and easily understood. Also unemotional.

Do it now and forget about it!

Good clear and to the point, Mah_jong's suggestion is just what I would want to see as another seller.

i had a item for sale that was won on the 10th of april , i sent an invoive to say only do cheque or postal order or bankers draft . she then e-mailed me back asking if she could send cash recorded delivery i said yes after a couple of week payment was still not recieved so e-mailed again she said she had to wait for her cheque to clear before she could send payment which will be next week waited another 10 days no payment.
e-mailed again she said cheque still hadnt cleared will be on its way soon e-mailed a week later after still no payment to say that if i dont recieve payment in five days i would report to e-bay and leave feedback , i had a e-mail back saying that the lady who won the item has been took into hospital and that this was her daughter she would talk to her mum to find out where payment was i said i would give her five days to let me know what was happening then we would take it from there .
after six days i reported them to e-bay she said she couldnt understand why i had reported them she told me her mum was in hospital and was in to much pain to talk so i e-mailed back saying i would give them another five days if i heard nothing i would resell the item and leave negative feedback . she them said ok payment will be sent on monday it is sunday now so should SHOULD get it wednesday , but what do i do either weather i recieve payment or not what feedback do i leave an worried she will leave negative for me as i have 100 %
    PLEASE HELP
Ok if she gives you negative feedback, you can do a follow up feedback writing up thje lie she told you then your buyers will see that you are not in the wrong.
I have had problems before. I recently sent out 2 books to 2 seperate customers (didn't recieve negative though phew) the books were sent the day after purchase. One of the buyers was happy and left positive feedback, the other claims that they didn't recieve their item. They then went to paypal with a dispute, but since I did not send them recorded delivery what should I do?. I have no proof of sending them but the other buyer recieved theirs fine!.

I have no proof of sending them

When sending an eBay Item always at least fill in and get stamped at the PO a "Certificate of Posting". They are free and can always be scanned to your buyer if they claim non delivery.

Although I have found most buyers accept this it is, of course, the seller's responsibility to have the goods safely delivered to the buyer.

If your buyer claiming non delivery is doing a chargeback via paypal then you have to prove delivery to stop that chargeback going ahead. Unless you are lucky and the buyer fills out part of the claim form wrongly or accidentally cancels the chargeback process (which happens) paypal will try and recover funds from you.

However, like the previous poster has said it is always worth getting the COP from the post office as that way you can just repay the buyer and reclaim the money from the post office and not even have to go down the chargeback route.

I would just llike to point out the sometimes people really are in hospital when they say they are.
I went in to labour early with my daughter, stayed in hospital for a week and so was over a week late in sending some of my ebay items. Luckly everyone was very understanding :T

Although I'm pretty sure the case the is being discussed here is a real case of someone lying

<blush> sorry Mah_jong I had the feeling I had borrowed that from someone else a long while ago as well and just thought it must have been you.
