Pay sc#mmers money so they can continue to sc#m other victims ?? I don't think so

Sometimes you have to take one for the team , especially when the team here are helping you both free of charge

It would have cost you hundreds of pounds to engage a qualified lawyer

Personally I wouldn't care about the time put in , I have just seen a guy on TV who had both legs blown off in the war who is now climbing a mountain , it took him 5 years to learn to walk again never mind climb using prosthetics , it would be easier to just lie in bed and moan , but he didn't !!

Paying a scammer perpetuates the scam. I believe that at least one MP suggested that the money from these scammers might be used to fund organised crime including people trafficking.

We have seen some people post on here that they paid the £60 only to find the scammers came back for more.

You aren't the only one putting in time to fight these scammers. Every one of the regulars gives up their time for free. I would feel very let down if someone decided to pay after that.

However, it's your time and your money, and we cannot stop you if you want to pay a scammer.

I want to move forward to let the court know I don't want the case to be heard on paper, but it's not as simple as what I thought it would be. I need to know how the reply needs wording.

Isn't there an example response in the Telephone Hearings thread that's bobbing up and down the first few pages of the forum?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Go to this thread and read about how easy it is to object to a hearing "on papers".  Also you could search the forum for other objections to a hearing "on papers".

Which is why I replied a few weeks ago on the TELEPHONE HEARINGS thread giving the exact words. Umkomaas told you it's there already, did you not go and read it?     Just copy & adapt it as relevant to you; that's what I posted it for!

It is in the later replies, May/June/July. NOT THE FIRST PAGE OR FEW...

This looks very much like Keep Calm and Carry On's first case against Excel. She parked in a cobbled area of the car park which was badly marked. She won at Derby. She also won against VCS (same directors). On the second occasion she was awarded costs for unreasonable behaviour (she was not even parked on their car park).

The posters that get an offer from Excel or VCS find that they often discontinue. Must have though my case was really a sure thing as I never received a sabre rattling letter with an offer from Excel.

It does seem a lot of work but it makes you sharper. You never know when you might be able to use the knowledge again.  You may have problems with something you buy or a service you have received in the future. You will understand the process. Knowledge is power.
