Thats the sort of reply I was hoping for! Its not just the waiting its the lack of contact/ information as well. I am really looking forward to my new glasses but its just taking too long! Maybe I worded it wrong and should of put goodwill gesture....10 % would be fine just a sign of good faith iyswim

You should try your local independent opticians. They really are no dearer than the nasty chains and give excellent personal service.

I have just bought a new pair. My lenses are quite complex and cost around £250 then frames on top. I have never been asked to pay before I have received them and am satisfied. My latest pair took 8 days from eye test to collection.

I did once try one of the chain opticians. They made me 2 pairs, neither of which was up to standard. I didn't buy and they didn't charge.
