I think it's quite a good advert for Tesla safety; occupants including cat were all fine. A few bags of sand in the boot and that would have been OK.0

No new combustion vehicles in Washington State by 2030
The US state of Washington has passed a bill banning the sale, purchase and registration of new petrol-powered vehicles of model year 2030 or later. This article has been posted on another thread but what wasn’t made clear in the article or the other thread is that the ban applies to “model year 2030 or later” not to all ICE cars registered in 2030.I am anticipating that most manufacturers will have ceased new ICE development by 2030 but they may still be manufacturing vehicles of MY2029 specification which it appears may still be registered in Washington state.
If the prophesies around the demise of the ICE car are true then in 2030 there may be fields of old model ICE vehicles just waiting for a buyer, just as there were old MG models when the company went bust. (I read somewhere recently that you can still buy new Mk7 Golfs even though the Mk8 has been out for some time.)
It could be that the few people who still want an ICE car may be able to source one well into the 2030s under this legislation as long as it is the older model year.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)1
