Vampire drain as I believe its called, for having sentry mode on, seems to take around 3-4% a night, if the scottish chargers weren't free, I'd probably have switched it off by now, but since I'm using it every day, and most days have access to a charger while I'm working, I barely notice it.
And just to completely contradict myself, last weekend I parked the car at 95% around 6pm Friday, and when I entered again on Monday morning I'd lost 25% to sentry mode.

I'd usually use the car on the weekend but didn't at all, and so was quite surprised at the drain.

Certainly makes me think twice about leaving sentry on if I was away for a week, though it does switch off if the battery reaches 20% anyway.
Whoa! That's some drainage considering the size of the Tesla battery. Thankfully our Leaf doesn't have such an option, at least I'm not aware that it has, but in the January of 2019 we left it in a car park while taking a fortnights break in the sun with 55% of charge remaining. Naturally nervous about making it home without having to stop on the return journey it was with some relief that it had lost but 1% during the time we were away. Arrived home with 12% remaining. Phew!

How many watts is that for the Tesla on standby - two or three hundred?

    On this day in 1897

The Bersey Electric Cab (also known as the London Electrical Cab) was an early electric-powered vehicle and the first electric taxi cab in London. Developed by Walter Bersey the vehicles reportedly had a top speed of 12 mph (19 km/h) and could carry two passengers. An initial service of 12 cabs began on 19 August 1897 and a total of 77 were built, with a maximum of 75 in service at once.

Still absolutely loving the drive, and am happy enough to stay in chill mode (lower power) the vast majority of the time.
Doesn't seem to be too. It a difference between 60mph and say 80mph in terms of consumption.
Like a ff car, you stick to 50mph and you have really good efficiency.
Over the 5k miles ive averaged 270wh/mile.
Colleagues in lower England (London mostly) have been low 200's and upper England more like 235-260wh/mile, so it really seems its the hills and speed that affect the efficiency.

Thought you might like some numbers from a cheeky screenshot my London friend sent me. He drove to Snowdonia with his boys on Friday (TM3 LR (strange boys names!)) and got:

    274miles, 67kWh, 244Wh/mile

As he pointed out, he could have done it without a recharge if he'd left with a full(ish) tank.

Perhaps somebody should tell Allegra Stratton?

Someone else who talks the talk but doesn’t quite manage the walk.

Extinction Rebellion co-founder Gail Bradbrook is branded a hypocrite after revealing she drives a DIESEL car instead of an electric vehicle

I'm not sure that makes her a hypocrite,  if she can't afford an expensive electric car.
But you know, daily fail at its best.

In fact you could make a very good case for her being mis-sold a car which was claimed to be eco friendly.

The climate change minister on a ministers salary where everyone knows she can afford it, that's news.

Maybe if she gave up the yoga retreats to Costa Rica and the psychedelic drugs she could afford a 2nd hand Leaf. Or a taxi to take her kids to footie practice.

I think you captured the essence of the right wing psyche right there.

How is it right wing to point out that long haul flights and diesel cars are inconsistent with Ms Bradbrook's outspoken views as a spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion?  A petrol car and a UK yoga retreat (without the drugs obvs) would not have attracted any comment.  It's similar to Allegra Stratton not having an EV.  Both are naive and should have know better.

I broadly agree with the point I think your quote is trying to make btw.
