The paper that week after week tells me Nicola Sturgeon was destroyed by this right wing sycophant or the useless PM, its never been true.
I'm afraid this is a case of the paper that cried wolf (or imagrunts) too many times for me to even read the headlinesWest central Scotland

Nothing in the article itself to complain about so you refer to the public comments? Poor show but when you are desperate you get desperate. Ok, I understand the new rules now; I will be able to quote any old rubbish comment made on future posts from Team Mart as being the essence of the article. You’ve moved this to a whole new level. Is that really how you want to see this go?EVandPV said:

Particularly enjoyed the one referring to "Nicholas Teslar".

Didn't actually have a problem with the article, the figures quoted sounded reasonable.JKenH said:

But the standard of the comments are typical of folk in denial of climate change and don't have the first clue about EV's, many of whom shouldn't be aloud near a keyboard.
Some real knuckle-draggers in there too.
If comments like "takes 8 hours to charge 50 miles" and "I'm sticking with petrol, f*** the environment" are their typical reader base, it doesn't put the paper in a great light.

Carbon Commentary Newsletter extract:8, Electric cars. Another increase in the market share of electric cars in Europe. August saw battery-only cars attain 5.5% of the market with unit sales rising 110% in the last year. (The market as a whole fell 18% from 2019). Plug-in hybrids sold very slightly less well than pure electric vehicles but were up even more strongly since August 2019. Taken together plug-in cars reached over 10% of total sales. The unexpected strength of electric vehicles is helping governments to edge towards earlier mandatory sales blocks on petrol and diesel cars. My guess is that most European governments will standardise on a final date of 2030 within the next year.

Not sure it’s a good idea to bring politics into these threads. Others may disagree.Solarchaser said:

No nerve touched, just surprised that, with an article you agreed with, you were so desperate to say something negative that you resorted to comments from, as you call them, ‘knuckle draggers’. When someone posts an article that you approve of why try and drag it down? All I can think of is you are trying to prove you’re one of the gang?EVandPV said:

Some paranoia creeping in here. Not trying to drag anything down and I'm certainly not part of anyone's gang.JKenH said:When someone posts an article that you approve of why try and drag it down? All I can think of is you are trying to prove you’re one of the gang?
I just find the comments at the end of some of these articles by ICE die-hards laughable.
No agendas here, I can assure you.
