  • Hi guys :santa2:

So many lovely new peeps on the thread. I think I've managed to catch you all and give you a number, please repost if I have missed you, we're so much busier than last year already :D

How are this years preparations going? I think I've only got a few more gifts to get, I'm ahead of where I usually am at the beginning of December, I've even sorted MIL birthday gift, her birthday is 1st Jan so feeling good about that :D

  • Put me down please...currently on benefits so it'll be a challenge but I'm up for it x

Hi, I was on benefits when I first started using MSE forums, I've been in and out of them a few times, some of the challenges have helped me out over the years.

The ones that stick in my mind are this one ;) NSD challenge and the grocery challenge, helped keep me focused.

    Catch you soon x

  • I haven't even started Christmas preparations yet, we have two children, don't usually really buy for anyone else, and yet I always end up so overwhelmed at this time of the year. We have never managed to save in advance before, some years we have managed with our incomes, others we have gone into debt to pay for Christmas.

Determined not to let that happen again, this challenge for Christmas 2020 has given me such a focus and something to look forward to, thank you!
  • Evening,

Can you put me down for this challenge? Will aim for £366 too, but will use my survey payouts to build up the balance so monthly savings towards it will likely fluctuate wildly!

    Thanks.

I’m almost done. As the family are spread all over the country, we do a ‘pressie swap’ weekend so have to be organised as this is generally the second weekend in December. It’s a fantastic time meeting up with everyone rather than just talking on the phone. That leaves my parents, sister and hubby to get presents for nearer the time. Certainly takes the pressure off :)
