The latest addressed to you, is that you are posting as Great Ape and myself. An accusation supported by a couple of other posters.

One wonders just what is going on in some people’s minds.

That doesn't paint a very encouraging picture for car industry or the environment. A chaotic rollout of hybrids, many of which will never be charged, being sold with little profit margin or possibly at a loss.

It ironic that Germany bankrolls the European project, that comes up with the legislation that gives one of it's major industries a right good kicking. You couldn't make it up!

The green rules are a disaster and will probably mean the death knell for small cars in Europe. The whole co2/kg of car was badly thought out and means the likes of the suzuki jimny will be fined a huge amount of the purchase price simply because it is small. Hence the prevalance of new models of SUV with small engines, just as polluting, more polluting during manufacture but hit less with subsidy because its smaller down the CO2 per kg weight.

Just means car production will probably be offshored to cheaper to manufacture places (with worse initial energy production pollution) and imported.

Will be interesting to see post Brexit if we get the cheap chinese tesla knock offs (if China still exists this time next year ;-)) without tariffs...

I used to teach online to degree level. I came from an industry which invented the internet and initially you needed at least a degree to get online. Interchange was civil because it was mainly about learning and everyone was at the same level or so and nobody came on drunk, doped up and access was usually at work so people with mental issues generally werent the sort of people we would employ.

When I started teaching online I was sent studies about the type of person who generally elected to undertake this type of study. As you would expect a lot of people who didnt have the time to do regular study, carers, disabled people, night shift workers etc.
Then a minority were the other lot.... ...people who wouldnt do well interacting with other people...

I tend now to look at diction and how it changes with time of posting. Some people have 'issues' and eventually that comes across in posting styles. Some times its just as simple as people not getting validation in their day to day lives but online (they think) can provide this and any crossing of this will provoke a reaction that wouldnt be tolerated in a face to face environment. (smack in the face usually sorts that out).

The studies about adrenaline and online/social media are absolutely startling, never mind the adoption of the internet as the bible/koran/torah etc. 'SEE! IT SAYS THIS IN GOOGLE! STONE THEM!'

I think I was accused of being someone else as well at one point on this forum. Seriously, I thought I was unique enough to discount that ;-)

I ventured onto mumsnet once for a bit of research I was doing.... ...here be dragons...
