You could take another tack and say nothing except to let the solicitor and EA know you want to persue the new offer if exchage does not happen at the previous agreed price/date.
Let the EA do their job.0 -

I have been to many clothing sales in my life and never had my trousers pulled down at any of them. I suspect you are attending the wrong kind of sales :rotfl:0 -
Are your solicitors No Sale No Fee? Do you have a property you could lose by losing your buyer? or if the property is empty, how much is it costing you to leave it empty at the moment?
Personally I would love to tell them to stick it if i was in that position but I know that in reality I would try meet in the middle and keep my onward purchase alive.
Bigger picture sometimes. Is there a partner or a family involved? How do they feel about it? Happy Wife, Happy Life certainly applied last time when I couldnt get the price i wanted but she was in love with the onward purchase0 -
Have they given any reason?0

Its actually 4k difference now.
They have invested time, survey, searches.
What did come up in the survey has been rectified and was nothing major. Its just annoying to go this far and to have it pulled under your nose by cheeky individuals0 -
