  • Thank you Skinty, FP, SH and DFW321

I've removed that negativity from my life 😀

I didn't mean to vanish into thin air but this latest bug put me into survival mode.

While off I did overcome the 'need' to have the day job income and I'll be FT at 3rd home when the contract ends, I don't want any more extensions and it's not helping my own health. The amount of carp I've had since returning to the day job has been unbelievable and caused several relapses; which confirmed I'd made the right decision.

After the one such carp I applied for a L6 college course and received an unconditional offer to start in a few months 🤭

Part of the survival mode was due to not being able to eat and drink normally, most smelt nasty let alone how it tasted 🤢 including my meds. I'm developing the aroma / essential oil side of my business too following an accidental discovery of how well my body reacts to this; I've always held a belief they have their place and to experience the difference I honestly cannot yet put it into words.
    - accidental as in a product smells nice, applied it, shocked myself 5 mins later when standing up and walking straight away pain free, reapplied the next day and the same thing happened, looked up what the ingredient is known for helping. I've used it ever since and courses are lined up, ready to book.

I'm still gaining new clients via word of mouth and they return.  Retail has also taken off. Regular and seasonal products are selling well to clients; delivery comes in, barely on my shelves, mention to clients during appointments, products are sold. I've already had to place a further 2 orders to ensure I've sufficient stock for a big event this month.

I've passed BW and HS, with phenomenal tutor feedback. Need to submit WB later today. Having a few days before tackling reflexology as it would be nice to get that finished before starting my L6.

How's that for an update 😀

  • I'm still spending time at 2nd home, mainly just looking and planning for the new season due to the hard frosts. Even thinking about digging a few weeds out made me tired, however I'm hoping over the next few months there will be good weather days when I can do the prep and get root systems out before they take off again.

It will be interesting to see how much the garlic splits by having frosts now and again around February. Will I be able to physically carry elephant garlic home 🤭

Got my GH sealed as some of the perspex sheets don't clip in like glass sheets do, still had toms flowering and producing!

    As for 2025 plans:
    - I'm determined to get my herb section in.
    - Followed by fruit section.
    - Aubergines will be grown under plastic cloche tunnels.
    - I'll attempt a greens section under netting.
    - GH will be cucamelons, some toms, maybe peppers and chillis.
    - Start / finish digging the remaining sections, cover if I'm not ready / using it at that point.

I'm on the cusp of the good life 😊

  • Thank you Skinty and SH

I am struggling with energy, constant draining from the day job, boosted back up from 3rd home, and repeat.

I've passed BW therefore all my treatments are at full price 😀 and I've started reflexology learning, queue is forming!

There's only a few bookings left for this year. Already have Jan rent so these will be a little credit build up; as I shouldn't need any more products I can start the New Year building the business further and making a profit.

We have a little tree and I've put some gifts under it. I'll do a bulk wrapping session this weekend for wider family.

Today was a "me" day. Started off with finding a hairdresser and booking an apt, then colouring my hair and loading music to my 'new' fruit pod, realised I could be tinting my brows at the same time so got on with that too.
Popped to a CS and purchased more music, some headphones for my fruit pod, a DVD for another gift for hubster and won a tombola prize! (£20.75)
Nipped to T and got their 15p veg, a nice beef rib joint (reduced) and some other bits (£22.48)
    - Hairdresser is fantastic, as is the salon, and I'll be rebooking for a trim next month.

I'll have another pamper session as I've my nails and lashes to do but have spent all my energy for now.

If we don't speak before, have a wonderful Christmas 🎄
