Thank you DIA and SH.
I'm trying to alter the use of things where I can as it saves money and prevents cosy rooms feeling small.
We were sharing one shelf above the toilet and my small section was getting invaded!
I removed everything from the top of the water pipes cupboard (cleaning stuff is tucked into it) and put TomBo's toiletries on it; he has loads of stuff!
I even have a little hiding place for spare shared items.
As I was on a roll, I then did the rest of the bathroom and have my succulents on display and the room looks much better 🤗
I ventured into the bedroom and tidied up one section of my cube storage; binned two bags. I also came across a load of vacuum storage bags, they've been tucked away with the rest. All that's left to do is find a suitable place for my three best coats, but that will be months yet, for now they stay tucked in a bag.
I've been out in the garden too, looking to see what needs doing when the weather gets better.
I might try and set my painting section up tomorrow, as I've thought how it can be configured to save space.

Thank you SW and SH.
I was only in the garden as I went outside to see if the book was in the recycling bin.
It felt good getting rid of the two bags. One was a little rucksack and SIL gave me a 'new' one (one in one out rule), the other was a bag I normally take outside when I'm gardening. I managed to tuck a few 'going out' bags into one another, which freed up space in my cube- I've got 2x 1K3A 4 cube units for my clothes, 7 sections have boxes in them and I've one without a box where I keep bags, shoes of the day, hats etc.
- Half a wardrobe for smart work and going out dresses.
I'm tempted to go through all my clothes again and put some into vacuum storage bags or donate to charity, but maybe I will give everything another year and see whether it's used.
Today the lounge window surround sides and top have been caulked. I couldn't face opening another tube as the trigger isn't the nicest thing to use for a long session. Will do the bottom section next long weekend.
- when the lounge is done properly, I'm tempted to get rid of these surrounds, but will have a chat with a couple of neighbours and see if any of them have.
We randomly popped to T last night. Halfway through b-tma-n TomBo decided he wanted snacks 🤭 vouchers got used as we did shopping too; TomBo paid.
- He asked when I'm earning more survey points 🙈

I know what you mean about the caulk gun, I was using a slightly knackered one for ages until I replaced it and it can give a nasty cramp. Are you able to donate stuff where you are? I've had a bag behind a chair in the living room destined for the charity shop for ages, but only one shop in my town was accepting donations before lockdown.4

There's still one charity shop up the road, but they are expensive. I prefer dropping things off to the ones which charge less and have a bigger turnover as it definitely helps people who haven't got much money. I need to find out where those are over this side, now the one over the road closed.
It won't be for ages if I do sort through again; I really should sort out some gardening clothes and get rid of the current lot as they are threadbare 🙈
It's pain in my palm from it jabbing in. Don't know how builders use them all day long Atrixa!- seems to have helped with external noise reduction and I've had the heating on for a couple of hours less, even though it's really cold outside.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -

Hi MF,
That doesn't look too bad for your fuel costs, although I would still ask for a discount if you can't see one, nothing ventured nothing gained and all that.
So glad you located your book, I hate the feeling when you have lost something of importance and can't locate it. Not sure if Tombo is similar to my OH who's idea of tidying is shoving everything in a drawer and then doesn't understand why I have to sort it out and why it takes a while to locate things.
You sound like you are making great progress with organising and sorting everything there.Mortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650. Thank you SH and LW2G
The bills are not too bad for an old flat and certainly not much more than the two rentals were. Means I don't have to worry about switching the heating on in winter 😊
There's definitely no discount although the meter readings are correct. I've also not yet heard from my supplier and the address on my account still doesn't state my flat. It's really annoying me!
We effectively downsized for this flat as there's not the cupboard space like there was at the last one. As you know I decluttered a lot of my clothes and shoes, TomBo did a bit.
What I've got left is carefully folded or rolled to fit in my storage, TomBo just throws his in which wastes space, on top of that he buys things regularly; he doesn't follow the one in one out rule 🙈
Somehow I will be having the second bedroom as a bedroom and art / photography room!
