Also - i am not sure why you think you will get a CIFAS marker if you were not in on the scam. So your brother transferred money to you? You didnt no where it came from - he will get the cifas marker not you. You can easily appeal this if you get one......

unless your not telling us the full picture as you seem adamaent you will get a cifas marker. Was it you the scammed people or your brother?
  • Try Monzo.

I've heard of people getting an account with Monzo even with the nasty Cat 6 CIFAS marker, just dont apply for an overdraft with the account in the event you do get a Cat 6 CIFAS marker.

I was not involved in the scam at all. I told the story here in full details.
However, from reading the replies I can see that I will get the marker. Well lets see in 5 days I get the results of the review.

Thanks for the suggestion, will look into it. have you heard of "thinkmoney" ? It seems similar to Monzo i think?

I have heard of Thinkmoney, yes. However their account has a £10 monthly fee; while Monzo is free. Your choice what to go with, but in my opinion I would try Monzo first.

If you have a bank account already they will not close it down if you get a CIFAS marker.

    It can happen and does.

A search of the forums will show you this.

Not in on it? What proof is that?

“Honest judge I knew nothing about it”.

    Pull the other one...

You were involved - the monies were transferred to your bank account which you then made a withdrawal from.
