Carole Nash Motorbike Insurance, LONG post

DoaM you broke it as though you were the broker, didn't realise there was someone from Carole Nash on the Forum, so why would I thank you when your doing their job.
AdrianC no it's not a lousy excuse, some peole have a life and don't live with their phones glued to their hands, & it's why people are still given the OPTION if they want to go paperless, unless you sign up with a purely on-line company from the start, which he didn't. If your just willing to roll over and except whats imposed on you guess that's your choice....but then again it really isn't, is it.
Good luck getting help ... I'm out - you're completely self-centred without a trace of humility.0 -
To the OP - this is the Motoring section of the forum, where people like being awkward and argumentative. They also have a habit of jumping to conclusions, and then criticizing you on the basis of that conclusion. If you post here, you just have to live with it.
If I were in John's position, my inclination would be to cancel the policy and also make a formal complaint against them. As part of that formal complaint, tell them that you expect them to cancel any fees they are imposing. That complaint would set out the specific things that they have done wrong. It would be just one or two things that they have done, not a long rant. Tell them that you will go to the financial ombudsman if they don't give you the answer you want.
Unlike other people here, I do not consider that giving someone my email address is also giving them permission to go paperless. My insurance policies are paperless, but that was made clear to me.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
"Snark" alert!
Maybe we should all go back to 100% paper bills and use up even more of those wooden leafy things that help regulate the balance of O2/CO2 in the atmosphere?
Then people that that like to be "old school", wont have the inconvienience of switching their computer on for a minute or so each day to see if anything important has dropped into their inbox?
"John" should accept the responsibility of missing this communication, it's no one elses fault.0
