I will do fatbelly, thanks.
As I said I will keep this thread updated because there will probably be more questions I need answering, hopefully not too many!0 -
I'm just gathering paperwork together for stephange. I asked did they need credit reports and she said no they do that from their end, they want bank statements, DWP letters and debts with address of company and amounts.
I am having trouble finding a Halifax credit card address the only one I can find on Google is
Halifax
P.O Box 548
Leeds
L51 1WU
Does anyone know of a different address to use it should I just use this one. Mbna, Barclaycard and Tesco all have Credit Card Operations in their addresses.
Beginning to worry and panic a bit now on my bank statement there is odd payments which my daughter transferred into my account to help me out ranging from £30 to £90 . Also I had a clear out and sold some stuff on Ebay , the total amount was £89 going into my account will these be frowned upon.
Stress levels are through the roof!0 -
Sorry forgot to add I want the correct address because i will be sending them letters myself to explain my situation0

There's really no point in you doing that. This is a formal process and it's not a good idea for you to be writing anything alongside that.
You also don't need to be too fussy about the addresses as, if it's a major creditor, the intermediary can just pull the address from a drop-down list.
Obviously if it's a debt to a local vet or something, they'll need the address.0 -
Ok fatbelly, thanks, I wont bother then.
What do you think about the payments going into my account from my daughter and Ebay.
Sorry to bombard you with questions.0 -

I don't see a problem.
Your daughter's payments are not income.
You are not over the £1000 threshold.
The only relevant question on the application is ' In the past 2 years have you given anything away or sold it at less than its true value? (in order to get yourself under the limit)'
An auction is always taken as a fair way of finding a true value. Not a problem.0 -
Again, thank you for your advice fatbelly.0

Got everything through from stepchange this morning. I've got all the info they've asked for just filling the forms out.
Now I am really worried about the balance transfers I done, as I said one was 6 months ago and the other one 7 months ago. When I first spoke to them they asked me lots if questions, one being about prefirenttial payments and I replied no. So on the form were it asks that question should I write no.
If the question had been, have you done any balance transfers I would have said yes.
I would phone them up and ask but I am scared of what their reply would be, I am scared incase they refuse me, my stomach is in knots!
Should I just bite the bullet and phone them or leave everything as it is.0 -
Just say no to preferential payments0
