I got a letter the other day but they have called me Miss Wood. As you can see, my surname is Hood.
Double check what's showing on your V5C. That's where the information they hold originates.
What should my next step be?

Please change your user name to one which isn't your real one.

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 which gets you on your way in the process. THEN START YOUR OWN THREAD - THIS ONE ISNT YOURS!
I am not very good with this type of thing.
No one is 'any good with this type of thing' when they first start, even solicitors have struggled with it until we provide advice, but the majority of the work has to come from you.
My plan was to keep ignoring but I’m clearly worried.
Not the best plan in the world, especially as UKCPM are the most litigious operator in the country.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

To help with that, the poster might like to read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:
    Q. How can I change my username?

    A.
In most circumstances, this is not permitted.

The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.

If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.

You can respond to Gs as well, and ask them for a breakdown of the £160 and why their client is pursuing a case that involves parking on the public highway operated by Tower Hamlets, where issuing a private parking charge would be illegal?

Read the thread by CEC16 and learn about the Southampton case, and add:

I will be filing a defence which deals with the meritless claim in detail, and in evidence at the later stages, I will be including the two statute laws and one binding case law that defeated BW Legal's barrister in the application they lost at Southampton County Court on 11.11.19, a decision that will surely debar any future 'parking firm' claim in that circuit at least, from trying to add 'costs' that are indisputably already absorbed in the parking charge itself. Perhaps you would like the same result for Gladstones that has stung BW Legal, but in a different court circuit? I will be glad to oblige.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
