Normally we say never try IAS, but...

With PCM it can still be worth a try as long as you know you may well lose anyway. Use the IAS' actual words (copy entire sentences) in your appeal and give it a go, and attach evidence before you submit the case.

Also, when you get the initial reply asking if you want to add any comment, KEEP ADDING COMMENTS and make PCM reply each time. Keep on and on and reply all the time reiterating the law.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I used basically the same defence already posted in this thread, so chalk that up to another 'It's worth appealing to the IAS if you have a leased vehicle'.

Many thanks to everyone that helped.
  • However that reason is wrong
    THey were wrong in law.

I am in the process of also appealing to CPM for my leased car based on the letter shared in this thread. Can you say which option you decided to select on the appeals homepage. They state that I have to choose between Registered Keeper, Driver, or Vehicle Hirer.
If selecting the last option I must attach my hire agreement and liability statement which is rediculous. They also state that if I dont make the correct selection they will not reply to my appeal. If so then how do I move the appeal to the IAS stage?
    Thanks

But as I told you back on page 1, no mitigation was involved, it was because the PCN was unlawful and the POC/IPC realised that a court case would fail.

Ironman, please start your own thread.

Pease don't hijack another poster's thread about a completely different parking scampany.

Please do read the sticky thread for NEWBIES that asks you to read it before posting, then use the appropriate appeal template from the first post of said NEWBIES.
If it is a hire/lease vehicle then use the appropriate edna basher template.
You do not give to provide the scammers the documents they have requested. It's their job to get them from the hire/lease company within the PoFA timescales, not yours.

Do not reveal the driver's identity at any point.

Please start your own thread if you need further information. On your new thread, tell us what happened when you complained to your landowner, your managing agent, or management company, and what your MP said when you complained as well.

To find the NEWBIES, either put moneysavingexpert NEWBIES thread into a search engine, or click on the  link at the top of the page.

To start a new thread, click on the  button.

Once you have done that, please come back to this thread and delete your post by clicking on the cog-like edit button.
