1st August payment has gone in, so now at £47,578. Plodding along slowly at the moment as hitting the car payments hard for a few months. Mortgage  Overpayments start again in December so will start again then.
We have 19 payments left and they can't go quick enough!
DH and I seem a little obsessed with talking about our mortgage free plans. Living by the sea and an outdoor life seems to be a strong pull at the moment.  We spend alot of time at weekends at the coast already, so a more permanent move would be lovely.  How we would enable that not sure yet, but lots of options.  It is exciting, but in the meantime its Sunday evening and a hectic week at work ahead of me ☹.
    Roll on Friday!

Thanks for your encouraging words Pocketpoor. Struggling this morning,  that awful sick feeling before work is not nice. Need to get big girl pants on and stop feeling sorry for myself.

  • I know that feeling well! I’m off today, so spending my free time in the garden, no spends and enjoy the sunshine. Hope your work day gets better.

Sorry about the sick feeling before work. But as Pocket_poor said, soon you will be living your dream. And with a mortgage-free lifestyle, you can tell your job to have a nice day as you and OH scout properties by the sea, even if just for fun. Just a little bit longer.

  • 1st Sept regular payment has gone in, down to £46,666 now 😁 and 17 payments to go until Feb 2022 and THE END!! Until then we plod on 🤪. Looking forward to 1st Dec then I can make OP's again. This year has shot by I must say. Whilst I don't like life to wizz by,  its nice the mortgage is term is getting shorter and shorter!
Life will get cheaper once the eldest goes back to uni. Expensive running him to and from work every day, feeding him and everything else! Love him being at home but bank account suffers! Until next month ......

Well it's best day of the month! 1st of the month and mortgage payment goes out. So now at £45,765. 16 payments to go. Work is work.  Incredibly busy and exhausting, working at such a pace, really takes it out of me. Hey ho, just keep going.  On a more positive note I have made £120 cashback through my works online shopping discount thingy!!! Needed  to move tv/broadband provider so switched and my £120 cashback is almost ready to cash out into my bank account, so pleased,  free money!! 😁😁

My beginning of the month update. 15 payments to go, balance £44,884. In lockdown 2 so hoping our spending will reduce. Hoping to spend a little less this xmas too. Jobs are fine but you never know what's round the corner in today's world. Crazy times.
