Ah okay! So it seems weeks off yet as a good default. I've surprisingly convinced her to call me before 5pm. If that happens is another story. When you email, list your questions. Don't include several questions in several paragraphs (if that's what you're doing). Keep it as concise as you can. Numbered paragraphs are good.
I do this yes. Numbered and concise questions.0 -

It should be the Executer of the deceased's will who will sell to you, not the attorney (LPA) - though they may be the same person.
And only after Probare is granted.
So sending you the LPA is worrying.0 -
Okay all questions I will ask the solicitor tomorrow. Is it possible probate has been granted to the son after which he’s using a LPA to take care of the sale if say he lives hundreds of miles away? I know nothing about LPA’s0

The EA is the best person to keep you informed of the other parties affairs. Not your solicitors role in the transaction.0 -

LPA is for living people, not dead.
One circumstance it might be relevant is (though you do not indicate that "dad" is involved here), mum & dad owned it together, dad is in, say a care home , mum lived in property, mum dies, LPA is for dad and son is selling on behalf of dad.
If son (or someone else) is selling deceased mums property and his solicitor send you the LPA for son looking after mum (or any other dead person) the solicitor needs a kick up the jacksy.
Anyway please feed back.0
