Energy: Find the cheapest supplier & earn cashback

I've just been to the British Gas website and I see they are now offering -
Click Energy 6
Can anyone confirm if it's worth signing up or how I'd go about finding out? I'm currently a on CE5.
**EDIT**
Just found this link - https://www.britishgas.co.uk/PriceFinder/ShowPrices/
It shows that my tariffs on CL6 would be -
Gas - Tier 1 - 6.807p per kWh and Tier 2 - 3.432p per kWh
Electricity - Tier 1 - 19.723p per kWh and Tier 2 - 9.098p per kWh
Is this competitive?
**FURTHER EDIT**
Just check and the tariffs I was paying on CL5, when I check a couple of months back were -
Gas - Tier 1 - £5.68 and Tier 2 - £2.38
Elec - Tier 2 - £20.50 and Tier 2 - £7.05
So, the difference between CLE5 and CLE6 for me would be -
Gas T1 = Increase of 19.8% and T2 = Increase of 44.2%
Elec T1 = Reduction of 3.79% and T2 = Increase of 29.04%
So, which way to turn?

Have spoken to British Gas this morning and Click 6 is definitely cheaper than Click 5, as Click 5 prices went up massively yesterday. I've switched to Click 6

You have probably heard about "the wrong leaves" on railway lines. I was about to transfer my electricity over to Scottish Power. Today they tell me they cannot supply, because we have the "wrong type of meter" ????
Back to the drawing board ! (At least Money Supermarket have credited me with my £30 !).Thank you for reading this message.0 -
Hi I switched both my gas and electricity to BG click energy 5 a couple of months ago via Quidco. I already had my electricity on BG standard tarrif and to date they haven't informed me how much my monthly DD is for the gas although they have reduced my electricity DD. This means I havent paid anything so far for my gas and I havent had a bill either.
Does anyone know if I have to stick to Click 5 for a minimum period or could I switch agin at any time?0 -

Back in May I was on Npower Sign Online 7 tarrif. I looked into switching and the cheapest tarrif on the comparison sites was Npowers Sign Online 11 which would have saved me 11%. Instead I went for Npowers fixed to 2011 tarrif. This was working out at 30% more than the Sign Online 11 tariff but I figured that over summer we wouldn't be using as much gas so I could take the hit. Yesterday I checked the comparison sites again and I am now currently saving 6% over the next cheapest tariff so I am really happy I fixed especially with even more price rises predicted.0

Just looking at switching and the premium you pay for fixing seems to be a lot lower than the previous fixed deals offered - I would pay only £100 more over next 12 months if I fixed (presuming prices stayed the same). Bearing in mind that energy companies aren't daft and factor in likely increases when setting the fixed rates does anyone else think that this suggests that there are unlikely to be huge rises over the next year?0

At the beginning of September you posted saying you did the switch via a 'door knocker'.
What's more, moneysupermarket.com only pay £30 for switching to a dual fuel tariff (i.e. electricity & gas) - you say you have an all electric house.

A single fuel swap only pays out £17.50
moneysupermarket.com usually pay out 2-3 months (it can be up to 6 months) after a switch is completed allowing sufficient time for the transfer to complete and the supplier to notify them it has happened. A change of supplier will be considered completed only once theye have received confirmation of the change from the new supplier.

It takes an absolute minimum of 4 weeks (usually about 6 weeks) for a transfer to take place."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I have probably confused the issue. I have two properties. Tried to switch with both. The one with gas/electricity was successful (via MoneySupermarket). I just found £30 credited to my bank account from "MoneySupermarket". I have had no further communication with them !
As for the door knocker. I did try and swop. It was due to happen today, but as previously posted, they cannot supply due to the type of meter I have ?Has this happened to other people ? I suppose I will have to start all over again now, and hope that I don't get too far down the line and then be told I have a wrong meter.

I have just completed an effortless dual fuel switch using UK Power - £20 cheque received today for the move from British Gas to Scottish Power. This is about the 4th switch I have done over the years and I was a bit miffed to find that I didn't get anything from the last switch (using Moneysupermarket.com) because I had switched using them previously. I bet thay got THEIR cut both times?0
