    Hi

I'm currently on an E.ON tariff that's coming to an end. MSE energy club says that I am still eligible for the 25 pounds cashback if I choose the E.on plan that is available now.

Can anyone confirm hat I will get the 25 switch bonus for moving to a new E.On tariff via MSE energy club.

I thought this would not be considered a switch and therefore not receive the 25 bonus.

On the assumption you have input the correct data regarding your current supplier & tariff, if you can switch via the MSE CEC, and do so, you will be eligible for the cashback payment. :money:
  • I have had a quote from a company called BULB - looks like it will save me around £30 per month and is from renewable resources, anyone had any dealings with them ?

Unless you are currently on a SVT, I very much doubt that you will actually save anything like £30pm. Limiting the increase is the name of the game at the moment for anyone already on a fixed deal.

I would suggest you check the claim using a comparison site and then check for yourself using the unit rates and daily charges using a calculator.

My guess is that you may be in for a nasty shock.

As far as I can see, NONE of the cheapest deals are available via any of the comparison sites - having been with Iresa and Usio I'm a glutton for punishment so considering Enstroga currently!

I take your point that you often need to check what's available directly from suppliers. The future of comparison sites is looking a bit questionable to me if they can't be relied on to find the cheapest tariff. We'll all be back to checking every individual supplier ourselves and so ignoring comparison sites altogether.

Not sure where this is going. Clicked on the link you posted and it was meaningless to me. Are you saying Bulb energy is a dodgy company or there is someone using the name Bulb to spam people or what? Personally I have never heard of Bulb before but on Googling it I find https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/energy-companies/article/other-energy-companies-reviews/bulb-energy
a Which report that seems to say they are legitimate. It would be helpful to have a clearer explanation. Thanks

@murphydavid - because Bulb offer referral awards to existing customers when they get others to transfer to Bulb, many of the threads attract posters who are just hunting the money!!
Personally I've looked at Bulb but in my region ,they have never been that competitve on price.

Not sure where this is going.

I'm not sure it was intended to go anywhere .... until you have decided to take it there ;)

I started the thread that has been linked to by another

What exactly are you struggling to understand by :
Bulb Energy referral link posted other than in the permitted thread on the referrers board

Personally I have never heard of Bulb before

You are obviously new around here then ....
Stick around, and when you see any such spam post, please don't hesitate to use your spam button (where available) or report the matter.

Nor have you appeared to have consulted any comparison site recently to find if you are on the best energy deal as explained in the OP article here?....

[Edit: I'm sorry, but you appear to have previously mentioned them yourself about 5 months ago here :
