im with First Utility at the moment and the current tariff “isave fixed may 2016 v3” ends on 31/5/16, I will be moving in the next 10 days or so to avoid the early exit charges.
They seem very competitive on the new tariffs, with the “First fixed May 2017 v2”
I see the CEC give £30 cashback on this tariff, whereas if i go directly First Utility no cashback
If i go via the CEC link am I eligible for cash back as i am staying with the same company0 -

Suppliers do not pay referral fees to a 3rd party when you are already on their books as a customer UNLESS you have applied for the new tariff via a Collective Switch arranged by the 3rd party. These sit outwith the suppliers' limit of 4 tariffs. The MSE cashback is a part share of the referral fee. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi,
I have tried to switch from Npower to Npower, only to cheaper tariff via the switch.
It is now 5 weeks later and not a beep from Npower!!
Anyone had success switching to Npower through the organised switch?
Worried if I call them direct and switch I won't get my cashback.. But as they are not doing anything at all, will probably loose more than the cashback amount anyway..
Hmmmm...
Hi Any,
We didn't have an Npower collective tariff. However, if you switched through us and still haven't heard from Npower, you can drop us an email to energyclub AT moneysavingexpert. com and we'll take a look.
We've recently had users getting in touch with us to let us know that there's been delays with Npower processing applications, so it may be the same issue here.

Used the MSE Cheap Energy Club for the second time last week to switch from Sains (which I used the Energy Club to switch to before) to Scottish Power - saves me around £425pa and I should get £30 cashback - great stuff!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

Great ... but. The savings look to be very high. Are you sure that they have not been inflated through application of the Ofgem methodology? Unless you are on a standard variable tariff then a saving of £425 per year seems extraordinary. I fear you may be sadly disappointed.

Bit of time on my hands. Scottish power has better rates than Sainsbury. So thought I would compare Sottish Power with Co-op. Co-op rates in brackets ( ) electric kWh 10.39 (9.26) gas 2.27 (2.86) daily rate 20.55 (17.81) using the comparison site I would save £60 if I moved to Scottish Power . Can't see how they work that out as I use more electric than gas0

Are you using annual estimate usage in kWhs for you comparisons? If not, you should. The other possible reason is that the suppliers have different discounts for dual fuel and online billing. It you want to get the cheapest deal then look at separate suppliers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If the 'great stuff' to which you're referring relates to the ordeal you're about to undergo due to the misbilling of a Spanish-owned company unenviably ranked by Which? as "Worst Company for Customer Service In Britain" then fair enough. But you must be one heck of a masochist. The only prospect that's reasonably forseeable of anyone 'saving' £425 per annum by using Spanish Power is when large porcine substances have landing rights at Heathrow.0
