Anyone know if cashback is elligible for a returning customer to Scotish Power. It says it's only elligible to new customers. I left them last year to switch to EDF who are now being going to lose many of their customers by dumping them back onto standard tariffs.

    From Topcashback.

Please Note CashBack: This offer is not applicable to existing customers or to any members who have recently applied for cashback with Scottish Power and has a pending application. If an existing customer or member who has recently submitted an application applies more than once, then the application will be cancelled and no cash back will be authorised.
If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.
If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.

    You should be fine :)

You are not an existing customer and that warning is otherwise to stop someone cancelling a switch which they agreed to at say £60 cashback because a few days later they could get say £120 cashback (SP keep changing the cashback available)

After the EDF Letter fiasco I switched last night to Scottish Power. I’m a single fuel low electicity user so their Online Energy Saver 10 seemed one of the best for me. I didn’t like the £30 cancellation fee but it’s only until Oct 2011. What’s more I got £42 cashback just for the single fuel switch with Topcashback which tracked Ok overnight J

Eon Save online V2 has no cancellation fee and a few Tesco points but the single fuel cashback was only £27.50

I was called by eon who wanted to save me money. I told them to call back at the same time the next day and I'd tell them whether or not I wanted to switch. I got my bill and compared my current tariff/provider on the comparison sites and discovered that I could get it cheaper than eon offered by switching to a different tariff with the same provider (npower).

So I've saved myself almost £12 a month thanks to the sales team at eon making me look at the bill :) the sales guy hasn't called back yet though, he doesn't know this lol.

  • Thank you to moneysavingexpert.com I have just saved £130 approx per annum and £17.50 cash back by changing electricity supplier from nPower to EDF. Its been very easy one email form to complete, a telephone call to confirm the serial number for the meter and it will now take approximately four weeks to change over.

Its really easy to complete the online checker and if you save the same as above its well worth the few minutes in completing the forms.

Maybe treat yourself to a short break in the Lake District National Park with the savings. Have a look at this new travel website, bookinglaterooms com its well worth a look.

Strongly suggest you complete the utility review and start saving money.

    Happy saving. ChocBox.

I hope you do actually get the promised saving as EDF Energy seems to have a nasty habit of dumping their customers back on to standard tariffs only a few months after they have been enticed to join.:mad:

    Hi all.

My sister is about to move into her 1st home - a 2-bed flat. She's a single person working f/t, and I wondered if anyone could me a rough estimate of how much her gas bill should be per month and which company will give her the best value for money and some cashback too if that's not asking too much!

    Thanks!
