as i've never used an 'app' on w10, i may just leave this one in the 'ain't broke' folder and revisit if needed.

It used to be called 'Windows Store' in case you've managed to stay very out of date...

Hmm, where do I find the "photos app"?
I have Pictures as well as documents, music, downloads etc - is that what you mean?

Personally, yes, I'm out of date and never used the 'windows store'

PC is fully up to date - W10 is 1903 and did it's latest update yesterday.

Press the Windows key, type "photos" (without the quotation marks) and click on the Photos app which should be displayed as the first search result.

OP is using Classic Shell ... I've no idea if that alters how the Windows key responds to provide search results, but it seems the OP has already had issues using that method. (See post #13)

Hmm - never seen that 'app' before.

Now I have had a pop up saying "Photos Media Engine Add On just got installed"
    What's that?

Windows key still allows me to search and find the Photos app (that I didn't know I had :rotfl:)
  • Its min configuration will be higher than the one you are using

Maybe if you used the quote facility, we would know who you were replying to and about what.
