In the 2 years I've been an MSE'er I've seen some DFW'ers really blossom through the network of friends on here from being in such a state they can't face the next day to being totally in control of their finances and making plans for the long term future within a few weeks.

Have to agree with your comment keren. This forum was a lifesaver when I was going through the hardest part of being in debt, couldnt have done it without all of this support at the time!

No, I think this - my word - should be the last word on this subject.

(I never have the last word at home with Mrs Dither and the two Ditherettes, so I'm having it here!)

Uhuh, no way DD. You tried this before remember. Well Mola the thread killer is here so hopefully this should die a death (until the next time it gets dragged up)

But I'm not sure I'd EVER visit a anti-social forum, let alone hang around to help newbies

Still does not stop people seeing a load of pally topics and challenges and diaries and wondering if it is the place to get help.

I agree all those topics benefit you, so if they were moved everyone is happy there still there and yet there is a clear path for support.

As for every post being asnwered its irrelevent as quite often the standard answer people get is post your SOA which is not always the most helpful response!
