Morning. Beautiful day here but very, very cold.
I achieved everything I wanted to yesterday and I'm a bit at sixies and sevens at the moment.
Banking checked
Need to change bedding again. Himself bled over the duvet cover during the night, A result, I suspect of them prodding around his arm at the hospital yesterday.
Need to get something organised for lunch and dinner.
Do something with the glut of tomatoes.
Write a few more C cards
I'm sure I'll come across more as the day progresses.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Morning all!
Feeling pretty normal today which is nice. I actually walked both to and from work yesterday for the first time since I was ill. I was very tired last night but I seem to be ok this morning. OH says he's better but if you ask me, sleeping in til midday yesterday, dragging yourself into work and then being asleep now doesn't count as better - but hey ho, he's a grown man! - I was right, he's not better! He bravely took me to nearby shopping outlet village but only lasted once round. He's feeling so rough he's actually asked me to get a cab to the hairdressers!
Today's list:
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores - done
:heartpuls Do meal plan and shopping list - done
:heartpuls Reconcile budget sheet - done
:heartpuls Party at hairdressers this evening - will go to pick up Christmas discounts, free nibbles etc - done
:heartpuls No drinking at party (despite oodles of free prosecco). Have barely drunk anything since I got ill as obvs need to recover. Had 1 pint on OH's birthday a couple of weeks ago and 2 pints at a gig a couple of days later and then got another bug, so am steering clear. - done
:heartpuls Ring council or allotment people to see if I need to bring my ID etc in person. Instructions unclear. - have texted site sec.
:heartpuls Dust kitchen (wiping for cobwebs etc) - done
:heartpuls Soak fruit or Christmas cake - done
:heartpuls Ring counselling people to tell them that I can't make an appointment - done
:heartpuls Bleach down our room with OH as it gets some mould
:heartpuls If OH has a bath, keep water and clean plant pots
:heartpuls Heating off for as long as possible - done
:heartpuls Text window cleaner again and ask why an outstanding balance - done
:heartpuls Shower without washing hair as will be done later at hairdressers - done
:heartpuls Put washing away
:heartpuls Polish our boots - done
Possibly more... looks like a full list!
Have a good one all

Morning all!
I had a doctors appointment this morning so I have had to pay to park for work (as was late after appointment anyway!) So had to spend £5 but trying to avoid this as much as possible and will def save some of the £80 I normally spend!
Today I have/will:
* Check banks
* Make lunch to take to work
* Wash load on 30 degree eco wash
* Check PA/OP
* Update spreadsheet
* Go to cheap card shop to see if I can get the card I need (new twins!)
* Snap receipts
* Pick one thing up for dinner which I forgot last night
* Hang washing on airer
* Go to circuits (already paid for)
* Dinner from stores
* Maybe do some more crochet if I have time!
Think that's everything! Hope you all have a good day!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,435.00
Total paid off - £10,165.89 (65% paid off)0 -
So pleased to see CLF and DNMS posting again. Hope you are back on top form soon guys

Sorted out the pots in the front garden, took out the rosemary cuttings which were outgrowing their welcome, and replaced with hellebores from LidlsMorning all
Sleeting at the moment :eek: after a night of rain, and heavy rain forecast for this afternoon
They got it wrong - it stopped raining after the sleet and dried up a bit :T Very cold wind though!
Glad I got my garden project finished yesterday! Ended up doing another little bit today
Need to do a small Lidl shop today, butter, cheese, yogurt, icing sugar and a few more bits, and OH's bloomin beer and bagels Stocked up a bit in Lidls - they had the brand of instant coffee that I like for £2.99 instead of £4.50 or £5, so bought 3 of those... and bought some plants as well
and they didn't have the sort of beer that OH likes, so headed to Waitrose, as I had a £4 off a £20 shop voucher. Their beer was on offer at 2 x 6 packs for £16, so I gathered up a couple of other things to take it over the £20. Ended up with 2 x 6 packs of posh beer, a large jar of posh peanut butter (was on offer, cheaper than the smaller jars), some own brand low calorie salad dressing and kaffir lime leaves that I struggle to get anywhere round here for £20.90
Spendiest shop for a while, but I did buy plants and stock up on several things, so not too worried. Won't need much next week.
Call in to sales unit while out, to tidy up before the weekend Didn't get to it, as I had had enough after 2 x supermarkets!
Change Drs appointment as it clashes with DD1's FiL's funeral
Done
I have a butternut squash that could be made into soup It could be, but it hasn't been yet ...
And stuff out of the freezer for dinner Yep
Hopefully it will stop raining / sleeting for a short while so that the dog will go for a walk It cleared up after the sleet and OH took him for 2 short walks
I need to pack the coat that has sold on ebay. Currently waiting for another, smaller item to end (and get paid for) and I can post both together. All packed and ready to go tomorrow. Used mainly recycled packaging, as usual :T
Not feeling very motivated today! Hopefully that will change as the day progresses.
Put rosemary cuttings into big pots at the far end of the garden against an ugly wall - if they survive, the bees will like them
Ordered a coarse grating disc for my Magimix, I only have the fine one that came with the machine currently. This will pay for itself quite quickly with all the home food prep that I do. Love that they supply parts / attachments to fit old machines (mine is about 20 years old now). They aren't cheap, but I have never regretted buying it.
Spendy day today :eek::o

Also
* stewed some plums which weren't very tasty with a bit of honey (was chrystialised in the jar so popped in the micro for 10 seconds to soften up again) and some grated ginger - will be lovely as a dessert with a little bit of yogurt
* finished off the end of the tin of evaporated milk in a chicken/pasta bake recipe topped with the end of a block of cheese and some bread crumbs I'd blitzed - kids had a bit of this after the risotto leftovers as there wasn't a full portion really! Me and dh will have the end of this pasta bake with a bowl of hm soup.
Stay warm and safe all.

** lunch was the leek and potato soup, it was a different recipe to what I'd done before but I found this one so much nicer, less potato and leeks then I would usually have used! My old one was far too thick I think.
