UKPC PCN and Debt Recovery Plus letters

Hi, Advice please? I have read through most of the threads as suggested but cannot find anything or advice on what to do next with the notices received. My son parked in a private company office car park late on a Saturday night as he was called into work urgently in a building next door. Car Park only used Mon-Fri but did have a notice saying permit holders only at all times. Because it was a parking charge notice he ignored the letters and did not appeal. He now has had three letters from Debt Recovery Plus increasing the fine and threatening that they will recommend the that client appoint a solicitor etc. standard blurb I assume.
Should we pay this charge or continue to ignore or appeal, although I am not sure on what grounds the appeal could be warranted.
Assistance /advice would be welcome please.

Too late to appeal , much too late if debt letters are arriving , should have been done within 28 days
Nobody pays drpl and their inflated charges
Read the correct thread , the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , read post #4
The PPC can try a court claim within 6 years , via MCOL0 -
I have read post 4 but not sure I have any grounds to fight them if they do take it to court? I get that I should ignore the Debt recovery plus letters but if they pursue this to next level (whatever that is) where do I stand?
Thank you0 -

DRP CANNOT take this to the next level.
Hope you don't believe in fairies .......... you see DRP do ???0 -
Really?I have read post 4 but not sure I have any grounds to fight them if they do take it to court?
ALL UKPC claims can be defended. Not a single person here pays, unless a Judge tells them to which is very very rare and carries no huge costs risk or CCJ (because the odd person who loses then does pay).
What you describe fails the BPA CoP about the need to clearly communicate with extra signs, any new restrictions (such as changing it from Mon-Fri to weekends as well).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for your responses. With regards to the signage these are the photos supplied by UKPC re: notification/signs.
When I say they are only used Mon-Fri that is my guess as they are insurance companies, accountants offices so not utilised at weekend nights.
There signage in parking bay states something like
PRIVATE PARKING
Valid Permit Holders Only
See signage for details.
Then a UKPC signage which I can only read the following:
UKPC
No unauthorised parking
Terms of Parking apply at all times
Would need to go and see signage for full details.0 -
So forbidding signage then
No offer of parking to non permit holders , so no parking contract , meaning he was trespassing
The debt collector stage is an impasse , nothing to be done apart from gather evidence , drpl cannot and will not take this to court , the parking company might do so , within 6 years
Post #4 of the newbies faq sticky thread deals with ignoring debt collectors
Post #2 deals with an LoC or an MCOL court claim
The trap worked and so this could be a long fight , with a judge deciding the outcome
Fly parking caused this , so tell him never to park on private property unless he has permission , or has paid to park , because cameras are everywhere , waiting for one mistake like using them when they are not being utilised0 -
RedX - thank you. So from what you have said is that we ignore DRP+ but if they pursue via UKPC and court notice - then pay??
Cheers0 -

You have got this wrong ..... DRP are only sewer dwelling creatures
with ZERO power
Therefore they cannot pursue via UKPC, all they can ever do is tell UKPC they are failures
If UKPC want to take it further they will let you know via a dodgy legal called SCSLaw. Before it even goes to court, you will get a letter before claim giving you 30 days to rebut.
Let us know if you get one of these, nothing can really happen until next year anyway ........ YOU NEVER PAY THE UKPC SCAMMERS0 -
Many thanks for this.
Poorly responded by me but I did mean do nothing until we get a court action?
Assume SCS Law, Zenith or whoever are just the next leg in the scammers world.
Thanks again0
