This weeks Tilly tidy was earmarked for mortgage OP so £14.62 sent over. Still looking into the possibility of moving before I return to work so any extra I can get off the mortgage will mean more equity being released!

Hi BVic28, I've been binge reading your diary & have enjoyed following along! Are you still looking at houses, or are you waiting to see if its a firm possibility before you set your heart on another house? (I don't even know if we will ever move from our current home, but it doesn't stop me scouring Zoopla and dreaming :) )

I've just started doing Tilly tidies- it's amazing how much you can scrape together over a month... no doubt the money would usually go on food/Costa...

    Have a good week x

Hi Ktinbrum, thanks for reading. I look on Rightmove everyday haha. We are wanting to move before LO starts school as we’re not in a great catchment area unfortunately. My husband has seen a house that is pretty much all we can afford right now, he’s very much “let’s just get it done” whereas I’m happy to wait it out a year to give ourselves more money in the budget.

I love Tilly tidying, you’re right, it adds up so quick and would just be frittered away otherwise. Have you got a diary?

Haha sounds like me and my OH- I'm always overly cautious whereas he is just go go go, its good to balance either other out tbf.

I do indeed- I spend so much time reading on here I thought I should contribute as well. Pay day is Friday for me so I will be doing a proper update then :)

We’re normally the opposite way round so it’s a bit strange having it this way round haha.

Oohh I’ll check out your diary!

    Hi Bvic

I have found you! You wished me a happy Christmas and I wanted to return the sentiment, along with a Happy New Year to you.

I have read your diary and it made me smile. You are on a mission and by the look of it nothing is going to stand in your way. I hope you are able to afford to move. I agree it would be a waste of money to spend on your current home if a move is imminent.

I am glad to see that everyone is still Tilly Tidying. A fantastic way to save with little effort. To be fair, it has been a long time since I have seen Tilly on the forum, but I haven't been searching recently. Perhaps one day she will come up with another mode of saving that will immortalize her like this one.

I will keep reading if that is ok with you. I admit that reading other diaries gives me a distraction from my life and targets. One day, I will get to where I want to be and so will you. Until then, I will join you on your journey. Best of luck

    Tx

    Hi Tahlullah,

Thank you so much. We’ve decided to put off moving for a year at the minute, but have managed to make some small changes that make it a bit easier to do so.

A lot of people owe Tilly a lot of thanks - it’s such a simple way to save but it very quickly adds up!

Thank you for following my journey!

Payday which means the monthly account shuffle (I love moving money around and playing with my spreadsheets haha). Moved across my regular monthly OP and added an extra £27.60 to take it down to 125 ending (before interest of course)
