I prefer the grid cards from Coventry & Skipton BS to any of the electronic keypad devices - much quicker and easier to use. (And having printed the contents of the grid cards in an enlarged format, MUCH easier to read than a tiny screen. Oh, and the battery will never run out!)

I have made an electronic copy of my grid card in a spreadsheet ;)

You're not still using the physical gadgets?

I’ve come late to this RS!

I applied online, got an account number and sort code immediately so did a FP of first £500 straight away. Now I await the onslaught of paperwork.

Never heard of the grid card, that should be interesting.

Eight letters received - including the grid card which looks simple enough to use! Signature sent back yesterday.

Just curious to see if this is normal.

I applied online for this account on 8th Jan. I didn't receive any confirmation email with sort code and account number.

So i just assumed it will come in the post but it hasn't so far. I'm not really sure what's going on.

If they require I.D or more info then i don't think i will bother for a net gain of 0.65% (compared to Marcus) a month on £500. Not worth the hassle. I wish these company's would make things simpler.

Why don't you give them a ring to check the status of your application?

Thanks but I don't really think its worth the effort. Total interest is £86 so i don't want to do the chasing for that kind of money and will just continue leaving it in Marcus.

I was hoping it was just a simple online application and then i transfer the first deposit as well as set up standing order then forget about it for 1yr.
