On the job front, have you tried contact centres? Theres loads about any major town or city and they're always crying out for people. Usually being resonably sane, relatively articulate and having basic computer skills is the only requirements to get you in the door.
Thanks motorguy
I'm in a strange situation where I've left the hustle and bustle of London behind and being in my 50's just require about 2-3 hrs a day to get myself back on track . I have a bizarre health condition called myasthenia gravis which has knocked the stuffing out of me
So I'm after a desk job or filing for example mid morning so that I can build strength and get into a routine again without pressure etc . Too old to be a ' go getter ' :rotfl:0 -

I'd definitely look at Contact Centres then. They are often incredibly flexible with working hours - they'll do part time hours and flexible hours.
Also ask for customer service inbound work, not sales outbound work. That'll be stuff like helping customers with enquiries about their accounts, etc, rather than hard selling by cold call telephones.
Theres often opportunities once you get in there to do other roles that are off the phones such as admin, training, recruitment, team leading, mentoring, etc.
Also 6 months or a year doing that sort of work could be a good springboard to the sort of work you actually want
I would have though you'd have a much better chance of finding a job to support the hours you can work in contact centres rather than in a part time office role or similar.0 -

HP laptops i5 would be enough to work. As a beginner, you would only need to get the latest version of Ms Office. Though Google Doc is also working fine but better to have Ms Office on your computer. Secondly, I would suggest you to must use fast browser like Chrome or FireFox etc. Acer Chromebook R11 could also be a good option if you want to go with a cheap option but good features. However, it is using Google Chrome as an operating system. If you want to stick with Windows then you can consider Asus VivoBook Flip 14, HP Envy 13 and Dell XPS 13.
Best wishes for your employment. But if you success to learn any digital world skill then try to go with freelancing.0 -

I think your comment was tongue in cheek, it’s nothing to do with motoring0 -
