£100 PCN + £50 solicitors costs + £25 filing fee + £25 hearing fee .. all perfectly normal. And it will have cost them far more than this to win this claim.3

Ah ok, thanks for clarifying. I wanted to check - I don't want to give them a penny more than I have to!1

I'm not willing to spend what little money and time I do have for another roll of the dice.
Not even if, as one MP has suggested, some of these companies may have links to organised crime? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
What can I do personally though? I'm just not willing to pay more money to appeal with slim chance of success. I have written to my MP and I'll comment on the draft CoP. What else can I do?0

Any claimant must pay an initial fee of £25 (the filing fee) and then another £25 (the hearing fee) when the case is heard.1

Where's Plod? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You had a bad judge. As said, BWL won the minimum for their client and the PPC was the loser.
As long as the judge kicks out the fake £60 and interest. All the PPC will get out of it is £100 less whatever BWL charge them. All BWL made was £50 so you can class this as cheap skate legal.
If PPC 's had the guts, they could do this themselves and might make a profit.
FOOLISH PPC's and they probably know that2 -
What can you do?
- comment on the new parking bill CoP
- write to MP
- write to landowner
- trip advisor, facebook etc to try to put people off going there. If the landowner sees a drop in footfall they will act.2 -
As I've said - I have already written to my MP and will comment on the new CoP.2

My MP has replied by letter. She has written to the Secretary of State at the Department of Transport about my case seeking assurances that progress is being made on the new Code of Practice.
I’m actually heading back to Cornwall next month (for the second time since I received the PCN) and will again visit St Ives. This will then be the second time I haven’t used the car park when I usually would have done, so far that’s a total of £13 of mine they won’t have1
