More people killed / injured by dogs - but no registration for them0

No bicycles or dogs in the flight path at major airports....AFAIK...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
A PIRATE
Not an Alcoholic...!0 -
No responsible drone flyers in the flight path at major airports either
Do you suppose the ones who might fly there are the type who would bother to register ?0 -
I can`t see the sense in this. Surely any malicious use would be rogue!
How is it going to be policed?
I was in Iceland recently and most tourist sites ban drones but that didn`t stop a few - bearing in mind that was only what I saw, scale that up to a full day or week and it would be, perhaps, dozens of `rogues`.0 -
The only positive from this ridiculous scheme is that it keeps people in work. Was a drone ever proved to have flown inside gatwick????"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Can I ask what other laws in the UK you think are pointless and should be scrapped - because they cannot be effectively policed and that those who do;t want to obey them will ignore them
Perhaps we could start with all speed limits?
Then we could move on to tax offenses and not paying your fair share?
Next perhaps firearms laws and restrictions on ownership of guns?
Finally we could get on to abolishing offenses of murder and manslaughter?0 -
If it's less than 250 g (1/2 lb) then it's a toy, to be fair.
Really?
Weighing in at 249 grammes - DJI Mavic Mini

Expect to see more below the 250g registration weight point.0 -
A sophisticated, high-end, item to be sure ... but still essentially a toy. Get any sort of breeze up and it'll likely struggle to cope.

I think a lot of them are toys. Few are used professionally.
Theres been some feedback on stability and it seems good on this one.
I guess its more interesting that the drone manufacturers are circumventing the registration requirements.0 -

Bicycles are rarely used for criminality. Drones are being used for spying, delivering drugs and other contraband to prisoners in prison, and for closing down airports for days. They are also being used for antisocial behaviour such as invasion of privacy. The first case of an aeroplane being brought down by a drone has yet to occur as far as I am aware, but that does not mean that it will never happen.0
