Should I be worried if the MOT history reads like this?
Could you pls advise?
I want to buy this used Toyota Verso, 2016.
It is an ex Motability car, so first, I don't know if this may be an issue.
Secondly, its only MOT history reads like this:
Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Vehicles internal headlight adjuster altered to recheck lights ()
Nearside Rear Child Seat fitted not allowing full inspection of adult belt ()
Nearside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
Offside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
Nearside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge on 3mm of tread (5.2.3 (e))
Since the car is a 2016 version, does the MOT history indicate anything wrong or serious that should make you worried?
Thank you for your kind advice.

Doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Brake pipe corrosion is quite common and doesn't cost that much to put right.0

The fact that it is ex motability would not bother me. I have had some great ex mobility cars but check carefully for unusual damage like broken drivers seat or sagging doors where people may have struggled to get in and out etc. I would do a little more digging about the possible corroded brake pipes. As it is a 2016 i’m guessing it comes with the balance of the 5 year Toyota warranty so they should be covered. What engine is in it? The 1.6 petrol I found very slow. The diesels are good but make sure you have the right usage pattern otherwise you may run into problems.0

Hi, thank you for your kind replies.
This is a 1.8L version, and it uses petrol.
I would appreciate hearing more advice.0 -
i wouldn't of thought a 3 year old car would have rusty brake pipes0

Sounds like some one has tried to preserve the bottom of the vehicle(Not sure if the word chassis is appropiate) with waxoyl or similar.0

OP nothing in that list would bother me.
That was my thoughts too. It's 3 years old and will need new tyres soon. You could say that of many 3 year old cars.
Take a look at it and have a good test drive. If the price is right for its age and condition then you should have a decent motor.0 -
Thank you so much for your helpful replies. I feel less worried now, especially if the tyres are common like that for 3-year-old cars.0

I wouldn't have thought so. If you look at the brake pipes on most vehicles you'll see a fair amount of grease, particularly where the lines have been clipped to the chassis, unfortunately this is usually the areas where they corrode first but get missed because of the build up of grease.Sounds like some one has tried to preserve the bottom of the vehicle(Not sure if the word chassis is appropiate) with waxoyl or similar.0 -
It should only have been in for one test in its life, because it's not long turned 3yo.Could you pls advise?

Secondly, its only MOT history reads like this:
When it came in, the headlight height adjuster on the dash was set to point the lights wrongly. The tester used the control to put them right. No more than that.Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):

The tester isn't allowed to remove the child seat, so can't check the seatbelt.Nearside Rear Child Seat fitted not allowing full inspection of adult belt ()
Almost certainly been sprayed with some goop, probably under the impression it'll stop them rusting. Chances are they'd outlive the car anyway... Ex-motability, so the person who had it was probably an old codger who was thinking back to the days of Mk1 Escorts that rusted away as soon as you looked at 'em.Nearside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
Offside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
One rear tyre's getting a bit tired.Nearside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge on 3mm of tread (5.2.3 (e))
Wouldn't worry me in the slightest, subject to having a quick look at those rear brake pipes.Since the car is a 2016 version, does the MOT history indicate anything wrong or serious that should make you worried?0
