I've been a long time member and follower on MSE, but first time ever posting!
I would love to join your sealed pot challenge - I already have my tin at the ready. My aim is to save £750 for Christmas 2020. I did a similar challenge myself over the past year, saving £50 each pay day and other bits and pieces, and had £715 by the end of September

I didn't have any change in my purse to pot tonight,so went to the family "holding pot",randomly picked out 20 coins to pot.I was very disappointed to find so many of them were 1p coins (nuisance to count up at the end of the challenge),but it was a total of 87p potted,so all good.:jSPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Hello, If it is not too late, please can I join your challenge? I often read the debt free wannabe challenges and I am never brave enough to take the plunge until now. I have a pot ready for the challenge and I would like to join you. If I can save £500 just by saving my change then that will be start along the path I want to follow.0

Have a look at the first post and it will tell you everything you need to know about being a potter..
You'll be amazed at how much you can save just by potting the odd spare change. Anything found in the washing pile, on the floor etc., is yours now :rotfl:MFiT-T7 #17 (Jan 2025) £193k (Apr) £177k (July) £

Potted a five pound note. Weekly shop somehow came in at £17.58! There is definitely enough food to see us nicely through the week with a few bits from the freezer. Keeping £2 close to hand as my son has two more wobbly teeth so will have a fairy visit soon. Worked out my housekeeping for next month as upping it to cater for Christmas. Won’t be going wild though as there’s only the two of us and quite frankly my boy will eat anything! :rotfl:SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)0

Potted 51p from picking up a couple of bits. This has gone into my cash bags though to make up the outstanding bag amounts. Is it too late to join?? I would like too.
Thinking of doing penny challenge and then any extra bits and bobs chucking in SPC-13 or is it easier all in one?
Why 29th October?Makethedayscount wrote: »Hi! I'm a newbie to SPC and would like to join. PleaseHoping to save towards a family day out at the end of 2020 - destination will depend on how much I manage to save from loose change and savings. Thanks!
Hi is it to late to join this?
Also am it sure how to follow or join the tread
Very new to this many thanksHi all, may I please join you?
I managed to clear my debts a few years ago after following quite a few of the challenges on here. Next week my finances are going to completely change again meaning a drastic reduction in income.
I will be saving all the leftovers from my grocery envelope and pocket money envelope as this will stop me from spending the entire contents each month! I can then use the sealed pot towards Xmas 2020.
Treated myself to a new tin yesterday, here's crossing fingers that I can fill it up!ThrillSaver wrote: »Hi everyone
Just stumbled across this thread and think I've found "my people" can I join in please. Currently on maternity leave with twins so need to save whatever I can, I've gone through my purse and my Qmee account to have a pot total of £6.97 also bagged a couple Lidl vouchers from the Metro last week so will add my £20 saving to it when I do my shop tomorrowx
Hi everyone ..I've been looking through challenges to help me with my 2020 goal of learning and sticking to a budget and get better at savingCan I join? I was going to go through all the change stashed around the place today and then take to Coinstar so thanks for the reminder that I will be losing money! I'll save it for the pot challenge for next year instead

Hello again all SPC family members!!!
I'm delighted to be able to slowly bring things (numbers wise) up to date. It's been a long time but I've been quite poorly. I hope everyone is keeping as well as possible. I see you're all saving so very well, I'm so happy for you, really I am!
For all those who may be poorly in any way, take good care of yourselves and fight back to good health just as soon as you're able.
I've been through the mill a lot lately, and right now have a really sore throat again!
So very, very many grateful thanks to you, 32b3, you've been an absolute star with all you've done for so long! I truly don't know what we would all have done without you. Bless you!!
Melody - I'm so very pleased to hear your husband's cancer treatment has finished, and sincerely hope he will fully recover so you're all able to continue living life as you were before. Please know I am thinking of all 3 of you, praying for you too.
I will be back again just as soon as I can, in the meantime folks, keep saving well as you'll be so chuffed you did when next October comes around.
Have a super weekend, everyone, keep safe and healthy and.., POT!!!!Sue x
NB folks: Opening date for SPC 13 is 29th October 2020!!! :j
