    Thats exactly it.

The cashback has been reset as of today. You can use your costco amex as normal, but will be getting 5% on the first £2000 spend (in the first 3 months) and then 0.5% thereafter until you meet the 1% threshold. They will send you a new grey platinum cashback card with the same long card number.

Costco employees have been instructed to send all members with a amex cashback card to customer services upon entering the store, so that a new standard white costco membership card can be made for them. I suspect this is how they will try to replace all cards, rather than posting them out. They even made me take a new picture!

Anyone know whether the anniversary date of the card has been reset with the recent changes, or if we can expect cashback to payout in line with the original anniversary?

Also, does anyone know if the £3k minimum spend for cashback to payout includes spend from the Costco Amex?

To answer my own questions, it's the *original* anniversary date (so no need to wait a full year for cashback unless you're unlucky with the timing) and spend from the Costco Amex *does* count (regardless of what the app indicates).
Another £100 to look forward to in May for me then :)

After that I'll probably drop the Amex altogether and just use my Tesco Premium card. ~0.7% back is better for me than the staggered Platinum offering and I find Clubcard points more flexible in terms of when I can use them through the year. Also it'd be nice not have to bother carrying multiple credit cards.
