It is too cold to venture out today except to take the dog around the block and pick DH up from after school club. I have a couple of returns to M&S but will do them tomorrow. I thought the package containing DH dressing gown felt a bit thin when I picked up my on line order from M&S yesterday, it's a pair of ladies Christmas pajamas! :rotfl: The delivery note is right, its the contents that are wrong, I hope they have the dressing gown in stock so I can swap it and keep the 20% discount.

Budget - some tweaking and maneuvering done to cover spends. I can't believe how much of Christmas I have covered from salary and DH small bonus this month. Keeping the food spends low has definitely helped.

Pay to Debts/Savings first impatiently waiting for more payments to go out

15 NSDS 0/15 almost got my first NSD yesterday but spent £1 on a christmas jumper for elf on the shelf in £land.

Avoid Coffee Shops - bonfire night and coffee with friend were my 2 outings.

Lunch to Work - Aiming for 20 days for DH 8/20 can is still count one when I make DH his lunch and he buys some as well?

Remove 60 Items - 8/60 need to make some progress on this this week

Use up Toiletries and Condiments used some mini shower gel and shampoo when away this week

Daily Fresh Air Walked the dog

Donate £5 - poppy appeal and shoe box donations done. CIN donation. Food bank donation ready to be dropped off.

Daily Gratitude - 1) Easy online ticket booking for panto and a music event next year. Cost might have been  (everyone's Christmas present) but it was easy to do :rotfl: 2) Kind colleagues sending links to jobs and websites 3) Checking my credit report, finding I was £27 in credit on an old card and receiving the refund in my account in less than 24 hours 4) Friends having DS to stay so both DH and I can go on planned nights out (him with work who changed the date, me with friends)

    Help others, Love People :heart2:

New Habits - Not keeping up with the count on these very well

    1) Eat 3 proper meals each day 13/30
    2) Drink 2 glasses of plain water each day 12/30
    3) Eat a minimum of 3 F&V each day 4/30
    4) Complete 2 items off my to do list each day 8/30 - some frogs have been chomped
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Woke up with great intentions and have done virtually nothing. Himself not feeling 100% and must admit I'm feeling a bit ropey myself. Think it must be the cold.

Tomorrow will be a better day.

Worked today. I am counting down the days now, think they know I don't care a jot about anything but what can they expect. Still did what I am paid to do though.

Nothing spent. Accepted an offer on an item on ebay, they made the offer in the middle of the night, I accepted this morning but it hasn't been paid for yet, I find these middle of the night bidders are often unreliable.

Will take the dog for a walk when I've cleaned the kitchen up then it's pj's and the apprentice. I already know who is going because a colleague shouts it out every Thursday despite me asking her not to .

Just a quick check in from me. Had to buy some Blistex today as my lips are cracked, peeled, painful, you name it. Been that way for a couple of weeks so decided to cave. Am counting it as a medical expense as it kinda is. No other spends though, just really busy with work and constantly feel like I'm chasing my tail. I'm meant to be putting a portfolio together to work towards promotion but it's not happening yet! Should have a quieter week next week fingers crossed. You've all reminded me that I have about £50 of expenses to claim as well so must get on and do that.

Got a payment through that covered the majority of a vet bill, and the aforementioned expenses will cover the excess which is good. I think I get paid tomorrow but I always put the money away until the end of the month as I find it easier to budget for each calendar month than from a particular date (no idea why, it's still the same amount of time and the same amount of money!). Will be able to finalise December's budget though which is good.

Today I am grateful for a lovely day at work, for being given the green light to do a collection there for the Sally Army instead of sending each other cmas cards, for going with dh to collect a bike for dd from 3bay (pretty rusty but between dh and hallyfords, it should be made to function), for a nice walk up to meet dd from school, for sorting out a library issue where I seemed to owe £5 but found the book on the shelf and got it all cancelled, for dd playing with her po11y p0ckets.

  • Hi everyone

Spent a very small amount on a fudge finger and a bit of choc for dgd!! so not a sfd and tomorrow wont be as I am having my eyes tested! So I think I will do some f&v shopping to take me to the middle of next week, infact its mainly fruit as I have quite a bit of veg in the fridge, which reminds me I MUST defrost the fridge/freezer this weekend, Ive been meaning to do it for months.
Another book has gone into the CS bag and Im going to make a start in my craft room at de-stashing in there. That's just about it for today.
    Gratitudes
    1. Leftovers so I didn't have to cook from scratch when I got in
    2. The 'not my cat' that kept me company before I went out - he is so sweet!
    3. Having saved enough to be able to afford some new glasses

Went on the little bus to order repeat medicines (they no longer let you do it over the phone). It will be ready tomorrow so another spendy day. The bus driver wouldn't let me pay, just told me to sit down. It happened quite a lot prior to and just after my hip operation because I was obviously in greater need than all the pensioners and disabled folk who had passes. I am frequently the only person on that bus who is paying. I don't feel great but didn't realise I looked so ill.

Went in the little cafe and had soup and a roll (£1.65 so less than the bus fare would have been). Very tasty and warming. Caught the bus back and got off opposite little Arseda - the eggs and milk I had bought to make crustless quiches all disapppeared whilst I was at mum's and I bought extra drinks as well.

Havve done more wrapping (sellotape has gone awol again) and watched the fireworks. Had more soup.

Today I am grateful for free entertainment, for soup and for the doctor's surgery.
