No, you've also made a choice to use a 19th century play thing as your chosen mode of transport around relatively fast moving motor vehicles. Take some responsibility for that choice as well as what you eat and drink.

But in the case described by the OP the van driver was the one who was clearly at fault and they have been prosecuted for their actions.

It doesn't matter how badly a cyclist is riding i still make sure i give them enough room to make sure their isn't an incident and if they are cycling badly then i will be extra aware.

The same as if a car is driving badly i will be extra aware of what they are doing and this has allowed me to avoid several possible accidents due to their bad driving.

The fact you are so against cyclists seem to suggest your driving skills are lacking and you are unable to drive safely around them. If you are a good enough driver cyclists, horses, children etc on the road shouldn't cause you any issues.

Yes, their mode of transport of course does come into it. If you've chosen a vulnerable means of transport over a safer one then you need to take responsibility for that choice and understand the potential consequences if something goes amiss.

Motorcycle clothing mostly protects against road rash which is far worse at a motorcycles average speed. It doesn't offer much impact or crush protection.

I hadn't watched it and I'm not interested poor cycling verses poor driving videos. Selective events don't represent all cyclists.

It's not a personal attack, buttercup. If you fail to have any empathy at all for a particular road user group, you are less likely to take them into consideration. You have such a heavy bias against cyclists, that you must be red in the face every time you see one.
