PCN issued with incorrect VRM

okay, day 26.
I've opened up the paymyparking using the wrong Vehicle Reg as suggested on this thread, as F1rst wrote the wrong vrn on the PCN and F1rst have several pictures of the vehicle (obviously with the right reg no displayed) and display sign.
Also, there are numerous boxes that have to be filled in or the online appeal form won't progress. F1rst want details of name, address, email and telephone number etc. Assume this is written as the keeper? Also want a box ticked to say 'I was driving the car' and then a yes or no tickbox. Will obviously tick NO! Does one have to write a real email and telephone number into these boxes? Surely F1rst don't need these details of the keeper if they have a postal address?
So one fills all this in and then copies and pastes the blue letter template from the newbies thread. Should one just end this with the 'yours faithfully' or end the letter as 'yours faithfully, (name of keeper and keepers postal address).
Shall I continue on with the appeal process?

I think you can leave it blank. They can't insist on that question. Also want a box ticked to say 'I was driving the car' and then a yes or no tickbox.
Put your telephone as zeros, or leave it blank if allowed.
Put your real email address as that's easier (make a new one if concerned, and check it and the spam folder regularly).
You do not need to end the appeal with yours faithfully at all, as you have already given them the keeper's name and postal address in the boxes anyway, so not need for a formal sign-off.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They do need some contact details otherwise they could never let you know the result of the appeal.0

I completed the appeal. Used real email and phone number. Leaving the boxes blank was not an option as the online appeal form wouldn't send if you left them blank.
Had to tick the 'I was not the driver' box as the form wouldn't go through unless 'yes' or 'no' were selected.

Complain to the BPA as they re NOT allowed to make that a condition of the appeal:Had to tick the 'I was not the driver' box as the form wouldn't go through unless 'yes' or 'no' were selected.

Big mistake. Do you really want them, or their debt collectors calling you? You can always make up a phone number. You can even use one of these if you want to be sure it won't go to some poor soul.TeacupBell22 wrote: »I completed the appeal. Used real … phone number.0 -
Update. Received an email today from F1rst Parking acknowledging receipt of the appeal and requesting a full name and address for the driver.0

I will do this.
Do you have any advice as to what to say, e.g. what part of the BPA Code of Practice this goes against?
Many thanks0 -
You just say what they did, saying that the form wouldn't go through unless 'yes' or 'no' were selected. DO NOT tell him who was driving, just that you wanted to make an appeal as registered keeper and it seems that saying whether you were driving is a condition of their appeal webpage, and the regular posters on MSE forum have told you that has never been allowed by the BPA and DVLA.
Talk to Steve Clark in your usual style; we will not write complaints like this for people! He is a reasonable person in a terrible job (imagine having to be civil to PPC scum every day) but he does read this forum sometimes and will know where you are coming from.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Great, thank you. Would you suggest including a screenshot of the tick box on the online appeals page?
Thank you.0
