Vodafone Total Rollover

My contract expires in a couple of weeks, and it seems I'll be better off on PAYG. I'm trying to understand this total rollover thing, and I cannot find the answer to my question:
Any credit carried over, is that used first the following month, or is the credit of the new bundle used first?

I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

What credit? You may well have a net credit (could be debit if you exceed your pro-rata allowance) after the contract ends since you pay a month in advance, but this is refundable - nothing to do with a new PAYG sim.
HOWEVER, your contract doesn't "expire" so will continue - unless you either give 30 days' notice to terminate it or request a PAC and exercise it to a different network within 30 days.0 -

How do I give 30 days notice. I went into a Vodafone shop a few weeks ago and they told me I had to wait until the contract had expired before I could do anything. So it seems I have given notice, but Vodafone have taken no action regarding my notice?I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
Is there any difference between the new bundle's credit and the credit from the previous one carried over..?Evolution, not revolution0

Yes. The Total Rollover credit expires after 30 days. So in the new month it would make sense to use it first. Then you can carry over the unused new month's credit to the following month.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

It seems you haven't and what you were told (IF that's what you were actually told) is untrue. As to "Total Rollover" I am not familiar with the term.0 -

Well, if I have made suitable enquiry to Vodafone and they provided incorrect advice, then they will have to provide me suitable recompense. But that's not what my enquiry here is about. My enquiry is about Total Rollover, amd as you are unfamiliar with that product, than perhaps you should refrain from answering my enquiry.
It would seem Vodafone are pretty useless at providing information to its customers. There's no reason they couldn't email me or send me a letter asking me whether I wanted to continue with my contract, and indeed, I have made the effort to contact them and have been given duff information.I consider myself to be a male feminist. I would look at "sim only" deals. As they tend to be better value for people who use their phones.
You pay about £10/month for an allowance of min/txt/data0 -

I've looked at my options. PAYG would be cheaper for me based on how much I use my phone (indeed, with Vodafone Bumdles I would get 3GB per month rather than my current 1GB), so would actually work out better value. PAYG also means I'm not tied into a 12 or 18 month contract, unless I want an even more expensive 30 day SIM only deal.
As an aside, went into a different Vodafone shop earlier so see if I had any luck with finding a competent member of staff, and am now being told that I cannot keep my number if I switch to PAYG, and they cannot do the switch in store either !I consider myself to be a male feminist. Perhaps I should refrain from commenting, but it seems you don't understand the first thing about how contracts work - and expecting them to compensate you for your understanding of what you think the first shop told you is ridiculous.
It seems clear that 1) you haven't given notice so your contract will continue and 2) what they have now told you is correct - unless you port a PAC via a different network as stated in my first post (though I have known them convert a number to PAYG from a contract about a decade or more ago).0 -

And yes, you are right, I am not totally up to speed with how mobile contracts work, which is why I went into a store in plenty of time to seek advice. I expect staff employed by Vodafone to be up to speed on how their contracts work. If a Vodafone representative has fobbed me off, then Vodafone will be held accountable for that. Perhaps I should wear a BodyCam the next time I go into a Vodafone shop so I can record the evidence?
EDIT: On the Vodafone Forum, they have told me I can move from Monthly to PAYG, so, whoever you are, your advice is incorrect!I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
