Following on from the above thread, I am unable to amend the poll questions so this is for poll voting only, please comment on original thread :beer:

1. Just post Advents on Main Competition forum (no Advent thread)
2. Bother with front page Advents thread? (no volunteers so far)
3. Just have Advent thread where they just get added to the end (front page not updated)

An Advent thread would be my choice, but it's a massive undertaking for one person, so why not spread the load by having several threads. one for Facebook another for Twitter, Web entry ect.

We would need three to four volunteers, but the work load would be much less for each person.

Personally I do use the thread to set up my own bookmarks, and the front page bit too, but it's a lot of work for someone to save only a little hassle for everyone else.
So I totally understand if it gets dumped in favour of a simple thread or no thread.

The A: system is a good fallback, but a simple thread would be useful to check new posts on it for anyone who falls behind/ end date comps on main board.

I think if we added to main forum we could update that thread with each prize in a separate post when prizes go live? Easier to scroll by the ones you don't want to enter from that particular advent then?

Have an advent thread where you just add a link to the "first" of the advent posts?

Option 4: An advent sub-board with no advent thread, then you would be able to sort the advent threads and do searches specific to them.

Clicked the middle one, but despite being here years I wasn't actually entirely sure what I voted for!

Last year's was good with the A: bit in front, but a huge undertaking I expect. I like it when they're in categories for 'twitter' 'website' etc.

If I could help, I would, but work full time (out 12 hours a day) and am out after work a lot too! Sorry! Get lots of spare time at work usually, but it's not a given. Sometimes it's manic for weeks.

I love the idea of a sun board for advents now that’s been posted, don’t see us being allowed that this year though but maybe it’s something to ask for next year after the forums move?

I’d definitely want an advent thread this year, even if it is just a sticky on main for everyone to add links to as they find advents. Also think splitting it into multiple threads for multiple people maintaining the first posts is a good idea but I get the impression it’s going to be impossible to find enough volunteers.
