You also keep saying they lie about the repairs. To be honest, what has that got to do with you? You stayed there two nights and not been back since. Why are you 1)pressing this issue on repairs and 2) know they have lied about the repairs if you have not been back.
You do seem to be coming off quite unreasonable in your approach to what are quite minor issues. Not ignoreable issues, but minor.
Might that have something to do with why AirBnB are ignorning you?
The host asked us not to leave a review in exchange for a refund and the above quote. Under airbnb terms, thats extortion.
The host continually lied about the facilities being fixed while we were still there. They weren't. Whether they are now, you're right it doesn't matter to our stay. They were major issues during our stay - we specifically wanted a pool, jacuzzi, sound system and the cinema room. The host said these were working or fixed during our stay, they were not.
Airbnb have an appalling record for customer service and assisting with refunds, thats why Im pressing them.1 -

Still can't see how it's extortion. Care to post the link to airbnb terms that cover this?0 -
was your local MP interested ?0

Find a similar Airbnb in the area without those facilities and claim the difference between the prices.
Send the owner a “letter before action” giving him 14 days to refund. Do NOT mention feedback. Send copies of the other Airbnb properties and their prices to justify your demand of % refund. If he doesn’t refund, then take it to court.
When you have your refund, then leave a factual review. Don’t rant as it will make you look flakey.
50 hours??? Really?????Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Im not allowed to post links. You can google "airbnb extortion policy" though
Airbnb have stated in writing they have educated the host on their extortion policy and warned him about it. They say if he did it again, he would be expelled from the site.
Refund up to 50% now in total.0 -

Hi thanks for your reply. I have taken the first bit of advice and put into practise. I think a reasonable amount to pay in total is £800.
Im going to LBA airbnb, have a friend with years of expertise in this. Will use other properties as you have said. Thanks again,
May sound crazy, but yeah 50 hours. Up to 50% refund though and will pursue the other 30%. I wont have to spend much time on it from now though. And if it goes to court the amount will double,1 -

Theres more to this then you are letting on. I've googled as you suggested and it is mainly aimed at guests trying to get refunds through stating they will leave bad feedback.
Is this what you did to the host?
Take the 50% and run. You're crazy trying to push for 80%. How on earth do you justify that?0 -
I'd take the 50% and then once the cash is in your hands leave the appropriate review if it makes you feel better.0
