  • Please dont lie to get compensation. If you were at home, then what issue could you have possibly got. Remember the days when internet was limited to a few?

I am with 3 and have been for over 10 years, I have tired to call them since this happened and wait times have been so long, Today i had time to sit down and wait 16 mins got to speak to someone and offered me £20 credit, My plan is £10 a moth sim only! I did have cause to complain and like many i thought i would be offered £5 or £10.

I was offered £10 via live chat after stating it effected my work and made me late for an external meeting (all true). I asked for £16 as that's how much my monthly contract was, given they hadn't provided what was promised. They said yes.

Also, I've been a customer for 10+ years, which they acknowledged without me pointing it out.
  • email to smarty via their complaints address netted me a fiver. that's a free month, so that'll do
  • I was actually away on business in a town in the middle of nowhere with terrible transport links. I'm due an upgrade and actually thought they'd cut my service off early. I missed the only train for hours because I couldn't ring a taxi to the train station that had no footpath to it, paid a colleague a fiver to give me a lift to the next town over, spent an extra £25 on trains and ended up home three hours late. Three gave me £10 compensation. I have evidence of all of this in the form of emails and train tickets etc.

I don't think I could have made up a fake story if I tried, but apparently someone else in this thread did and got £20.

I got £15 and £22 compensations for unrelated issues in the last 2 months, I wonder if they will entertain me calling for one more :)

Hmm, on online chat my family has been awarded two £5 compensations and two £10 ones when we pressed. (Four sim cards).

However so far only my mothers £5 has come through. (All are payg credit).

If you online chat half the time they say their systems are down. Otherwise they say not to worry it will come through eventually. It was meant to be within 24 hours....

    Perhaps patience will win out...
