Well, the final word on this is they rolled over without a whimper.
Did online appeal saying this (thanks to Ostell on Pepipoo)I have just received your Notice to Keeper xxxxx for vehicle VRM xxxx
You have failed to comply with the requirements of Schedule 4 of The Protection Of Freedoms Act 2012 namely, but not limited to, failing to deliver the notice within the relevant period of 14 days as prescribed by section 9 (4) of the Act. You cannot, therefore, transfer liability for the alleged charge from the driver at the time to me, the keeper.
There is no legal requirement to name the driver at the time and I will not be doing so.
Any further communication with me on this matter, apart from confirmation of no further action and my details being removed from your records, will be considered vexatious and harassment. This includes communication from any Debt Collection companies you care to instruct.
I'm sorely tempted to spend a while down there tomorrow & putting a printout of that & a link to this thread on his victims cars. Also one with the word unlucky & stick it on ticket man's car.0 -
Hi, 5 days ago I received a left site notice on my windscreen. I had gone over to Aldi after I shopped at Pets at Home. I approached Pets at Home who gave me a card containing the appeal procedure for UKPC. I later telephoned the manager of the store to see if he could overturn the fine. He said they had received a number of similar complaints from customers but that he could not help because it was not their site and he would not give me the landlords details.
I am sending a letter with copies of the receipt and parking notice to Pets at Home HQ with a letter of complaint to see what happens.
I have read the stickies and it seems I should not pay, despite the threat to increase from £60 to £100. Should I appeal? Is there anything else I should do at this time?0 -
Any reason you have hijacked someone elses thread to do this?
The newbies thread is prety explicit on what you should do.0 -

You do need to start your own thread. That said, they wouldn't go near court nor would they stand a chance at POPLA with this left site nonsense.0 -

In writing too.. for anyone searching in future, never give in. They won't dare pursue a left site ticket beyond scary letters.
Pre 2012 this would have been a clamping.0 -
I have never ever seen ukpc not cancel a left ticket site ticket0

They have wasted your time, now waste theirs. Send them an invoice for your time. When they ignore it send them a Letter before Action.

I'm thinking of going after them for a data breach, GDPR can strike fear into companies.
As the windscreen ticket was defective which they confirm in the new NTK, I believe they had no right to get the keeper data from the DVLA. I'll chuck in a complaint there for what it's worth.
For data misuse I believe there's a precedent for £750 damages, I'll probably go in for £100.
Be nice to turn it into profit.0 -
Just proves they try it on for maximum return and hundreds will just pay up.0
