Awake at stupid o'clock with the mutt going crazy, but I did manage to bag a £2.50 prolific survey.
Have checked the bank accounts and the current account is looking pretty empty but it's only a couple of days until pay day. Cupboards and freezer stocks are good. just need to keep hubby away from the local shop and we might hit pay day without touching the overdraft.
Today is a lazy housework, catching up on washing day.
I took 9 parcels to the post office yesterday and seeing that much clutter leave the house was amazing. The extra income pot currently stands at £1269.69. Hubby has started talking about just paying the credit card off now. It's interest free, so I'm happy saving cash up at the minute. Will see how the rest of the selling goes but my aim has always been keep the £1000 for Xmas.

It's the 22nd July andI don't get paid until 26th and the joint account is officially empty....Balance a big fat £0.43. We took the last £20 to get a top up shop of milk and bread yesterday. We'll be having quiet couple of days and relying on the food store cupboard and freezer. This will be first month in a while that we've not dipped into the overdraft no matter how big or small.
Ebay seems to be taking over my life at the minute and I've got another 5 parcels to wrap and post today. I've just click pay out on prolific for £5 from 2 surveys this week. Will move the cash across to the pot. Still not decided what to do about the CC hubby thinks should clear it all now, but I want to wait. The teenagers are loving the start of summer and are happy chilling out. They've not asked for anything as I know we're really trying to watch the budget. Will take them for a treat when I get paid as both desperate for a MC Donald's as not had one since Feb.Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
It's always good when you check your bank account and see your wages pending.....phew we've made it and still have £13ish in cash!
it looks like my pay rise has been backed dated as have an extra £37.70 included. It's £9.42 a month, not quite as much as I thought but still better than nothing. Going to send the extra straight over as an extra payment to my credit card.
Have had another sorting day and listed another 6 items on the fleabay....taking my current listings to 56. The most I've had had on at once. I'm finding little and often is less painful, so will keep doing a few every now and then.
All my sales are upto date and all fees are paid. Moved the profit, a £4 facebook sale and £5 survey cash across and account balance is £1299.76.

Whoooo pay day is here and we made it! Have moved my extra pay off the credit card which leaves £607.30 to go. My min payment which is rounded up to £50 will go out in the start of August. Will find the extra £7.30 to make it a round figure again.
I've sold another big item on eBay for £30 tonight and the guy is collecting Sunday. I've several items finishing over be there couple of days. Current bids at starting price but all have lots of watchers.Have a few more days until hubby paid but budget it set for the month. We've got a few dats out planned with the kids over the summer. Just hoping we can Stick to it and keep to the budget again. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
What a horrendous day, it's chucking it down so all the jobs I had planned for garden have been postponed.
Finally took the plunge and i've used cash from my extra income account o clear the remaining £607.30 off my credit card. So happy it's finally gone. The Xmas fund has taken a hit and currently stands at £692.46, so my next mission is to keep selling, surveying and receipt tracking to get that back to £1000 before 1/12/20. it should be easy to ive got:
- £5.72 Quidco cashback withdrawn time PayPal today.
- ebay sale £30 cash collection £27
- £25 & £16 sale to pay fees and postageOnce fees paid on these 3 it should be another £65 profit Into the account.
I finally feel like the debt is under control abd we're starting to make a dent. After a lot of house repairs expenses and new car we've got to a point where we don't need anything.
the loans are currently
£5135.09 (197.50 per month)
£9679.38 (179.25 per month)
total debt today £14814.47 so we've broken the 15k barrier! Whooooop going to have a beer tonight to celebrate. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -

Thanks beanie - I'm chuffed to bits. The smaller one has 26 payments left and larger new one has a horrendous 54 payments left.
my plan is to use the £50 'spare' from
the CC and round the payment of £197.50 to £250 every month...starting in August. It'll knock 6/7months off. I'm hoping to pick up more hours at work to be able to increase the over payments. Would love to overpay £200 a month, but I stil need to feed the teenagers 😆
Using the snowball method, once that first loan home it'll take 15and a bit months to clear the last one I do love a plan and the dream is to debt free in by 1/1/23. it'd tie in and mean we'd be debt free by the time my hubby is 50. It's the first time I've really thought about putting a date on it! I think we definitely need to increase our income as I've got only so much junk to sell. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Another whirlwind of selling on facebook and fleabay collections. £105 pocketed today and a couple of more items finishing tonight. I'm losing motivation - so going to have a week of not adding to my listings just to see if i can cut down my number of listings. It's started to feel like a full time job! Current xmas pot looking healthier than yesterday £840.59 with another big electrically item finisihing soon - currently at £71Was supposed to be a non spend day today, but had to some cold meat as forgot on the big shop yesterday. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230
